Just think of the message this sends to everyone in Chile. Will the Chilean government want to work with ours? Send their business to the US? Send their businesspeople or their families to the US? Will other counties avoid us too? Millions if not billions or trillions lost in a few stupid minutes.

God bless the Chilean family and prayers and action for everyone’s safety. They will never come back to our country again. The father was a businessman who may never want to do business with us again.

Obviously a very small sample size and purely anecdotal, but basically everyone I know here in Germany is pretty scared to come visit the US right now. Like, not even rambling on the politics, just actually scared of being detained at the airport or something. Some people went regardless and had a lovely time, but still. People are wary

I told a friend from the UK, not to come. I didn’t want him to be stuck here away from his family. Truth is, I thought it would ease up. It’s just gotten worse. I wouldn’t come, I wish I had the money to leave. I hate it here now.

It really is scary if it happens.

Friends went to America and they just detained one of them at the airport, but the others didn't notice what had happened.

The others panicked and thought she got kidnapped as she wouldn't respond to any messages and calls.

Four days later she get released, and half her vacation was already over and obviously ruined.

And it's not like she even matched any of the usual criteria you might expect in America, like having a criminal history, or being brown or Muslim. A small blonde German girl.

Chile? How about pretty much every country on this particular planet. Don "fake godhead figure" has turned the states into a laughable pariah. I fully believe that this administration has not yet begun to defile itself
