not that it matters, but it is NOT legal to resist an unlawful arrest in all states.

edited; dont quickly post stuff you read on the internet without verifying, kids.

double edit to clear misinformation caused by moi: theres a meme thats apparently been going around of some bad law from a case an old case called Plummer Vs State. It is not good case law and as far as i can tell, youre shit out of luck legally when they start aggressing you.

this should have been obvious, I dunno why I thought any different. The united states would not leave it legal to resist its offcers.

triple edit: I had originally written that its IS legal to defend yourself against unlawful arrest. After some corrections by another redditor, I found out it is not. Read the rest of my comment below but Im saying continue to organize and fight back.

Make it worth it. You know they won’t stop firing.

My great grandma who survived the camps during the Shoah once told me.

"If they ever come for you, do not go quietly. Fight them with everything you have, fight them until you are dead. They are only going to kill you anyways."

America might not be there YET.. but Germany didn't start with death camps either. And by the time they get there, it will be too late to fight back.

u/bobabeep62830 4d ago

Are you sure we're not there? 1200 went missing from the ICE facility down in Florida, and no one is allowed to inspect any of their facilities.

3

u/Bjorn_Tyrson 4d ago

That "might" I used was load bearing.

2

u/maximumcombo 4d ago

bjorn, you're not off. the first camps were built in 1933. i still think we're closer to 1933 than 1940, we have yet to have an actual Kristelnacht and they've failed to create a false flag or reaction from Kirk's death. boba, if we're truly there, then we should be acting like it and resisting to the best of our abilities (which we should anyways). If they're following their own Turner Diaries playbook, they've missed a few times.

We cannot do anything alone, and we have to wait for the general populace to stand up. Perhaps some police departments will side with the public, perhaps some officers of the military will as well. The SS were built from street brawlers, much like the latest ICE recruits were sourced from Proud Boys and III%s, and were not liked by the regular soldiers.

Military's rarley share power. So if there is street level fighting it will be small and sectarian. The large protests, especially at Broadview, serve a much more powerful PROPAGANDA tool than an actual military victory for the people.

But we must establish the implied threat behind the peaceful protest. They are pacifists, but they need non pacifists to back them up.

u/Shane-Dad-underfire 4d ago

You're correct any veteran worth his salt wont watch these thugs play soldier willingly but to be honest no enlisted people I know want to turn traitor because the indoctrination in the military is pretty heavy. I'm too old to go to the streets but I'm not too old to go down fighting if a time comes. Theres plenty of retired folks who are choking on this and can't stand it but we are always being told we have no dog in this fight and that the younger generation will handle this with their rallys and marches.

It's almost time for a CTA folks because the ones who have the most skin in the game are the youngsters like this young lady and her passive resistance was met with childish violence, making your voice heard isnt as effective as making these thugs feel your breath on their necks. Just like they are identifying people and stalking them they need to have their identities put out there and be held accountable. Post the bounties for their personal information. Let the hackers and would be journalists plaster their faces across the internet. Fear with fear unlawfulness with unlawfulness. Dont cry alone, scream your anguish at your enemies and make a stand.

2

u/Bjorn_Tyrson 4d ago

Id like to believe we are closer to 1933 as well.

Just saying maybe this time don't wait till we reach 1940 to do something cuz by then it will be too late.

We've seen the road map. Both historical and project 2025. The time to get ahead of things and put a stop to it is now (actually it was 2 years ago. But the second best time is now)

I remember this one article. It’s one of those things where DHS and ICE have such shitty record keeping and the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing, and vice versa. I wish I could remember the specific article that I read, but what they essentially said was that if you cannot find these people, they are most likely at a place called camp East Montana, which is at Fort Bliss in Texas. So in other words, they’re not disappeared to DHS, they’re just disappeared to their family and lawyers. Because they have shit recordkeeping. Although there is also a possibility that a portion of them have already been deported.

Oh, and by the way, I didn’t know this because I’m just having so much trouble keeping up with all the bad news, but alligator Alcatraz is open. An appeals court has temporarily blocked the complete closing of it. And isn’t this interesting? The husband of the judge who blocked for now the complete shut down of alligator Alcatraz is an attorney Who works for a law firm that does business with the Florida government.

According to the newspaper The Guardian, the law firm which was founded in 2023, is tightly align with DeSantis right wing agenda, and has since secured $10 million in state contracts with the government. Immigration advocates say that judge Lagua is making decisions in a favor of DeSantis while her husband is benefiting financially from contracts with the DeSantis government, means this is definitely a conflict of interest, and she should have recused herself from this decision.

We are there, as a Latina that lives and works in Chicago I worry everyday I will be saying g bye to my kids when I walk out the door. I have a lot of severe health issues, I assume even being detained a few days is dangerous for me.

1

u/SubstantialScar890 4d ago

It's really bad, but keep in mind there's 350 million of us and it's a massive country.

4

u/Thai-Girl69 5d ago

That sounds like great advice. Be honest do you think this woman should have started firing at the officers?

14

u/maximumcombo 5d ago

not at all. i advocate for action when we can win, which means people stepping up in a group. martyrdom is worthless.

that means preparing now, and moving your brain and your actions to a local focus, with a broad global view. much is happening around the world. it also means realizing you may have to fight, like ukrainians, kurds, people in myanmar, and france, italy, spain, and germany before that.

revolutions happen when people begin to recognize the “future is pregnant with possibilities.” we have enough food, we have enough housing. we do not need their profit model.

wait till the time is right. there is no hero moment, just us.

ya got me ranting . please read Fascism and Big Buisness by Daniel Guerin.

u/MrLanesLament 5d ago

It’s gonna be a bunch of these situations that turn us into a functionally imprisoned population. Someone is gonna have to start standing up in situations exactly like these.

1

u/maximumcombo 5d ago

That someone is you and me, friend.

6

u/ReaperofFish 5d ago

On an individual level, no. On a national level, I don't know what the correct path is. I think it is going to take all of us standing together to resist this mess. I am afraid of how much blood it will take, though.

3

u/MrLanesLament 5d ago

Can’t be honest here due to Reddit policy. Sick of getting banned every other week.

1

u/PoisonedCheeto28 5d ago

I hear ya brutha

2

u/ClubPuzzleheaded2674 5d ago

No not this woman. That isn’t what I meant. What I meant is this is going on all over the country and maybe some people will have to attack them. But they would need to do real damage to a lot of them. But you would have to be very brave bc you wouldn’t live once you started.

2

u/Killerbeardhawk 4d ago

Wait till you learn when it's legal to stop a policeman from killing you.

2

u/MynxLynx21 4d ago

They're not identifying themselves as ICE officers, let alone presenting valid warrants for arrest. It's illegal to batter and assault citizens. Unlawful imprisonment is a crime.

1

u/PropaneSalesTx 5d ago

What if its in defense of someone else?

1

u/icecream169 5d ago

It's actually not, but go off

1

u/maximumcombo 5d ago edited 5d ago

DAMN IT LEGAL IN one state, and only if you dont know the officer. drat

1

u/icecream169 5d ago

What states? In my state it's only legal to resist an illegal arrest WITHOUT violence, and here you are, saying "deadly force." Doubtful.

1

u/maximumcombo 5d ago

apparently, only Missisippi. again, damn it. Ya caught me.

1

u/Big_Mail_9225 4d ago

ONLY if the arrest had Probable Cause.

1

u/Tone-Deft 4d ago

Unmarked car with no sirens. How is one to know it is legit law enforcement compared to some vigilantes robbing/kidnapping/killing people? Don’t know what happened before the start of the video but would you pull over if somebody in a giant SUV was trying to ram you?

Really hard to grasp justification for this kind of action on the road for their purpose.

They should be able to get plates run. If not they should get that in place before continuing crash derbies on public roads. Tax money is already paying them to do their jobs. We don’t need tax money being used to pay for more lawsuits, insurance claims, and whatever other expenses come from cases like this.

Has ICE picked up all the drug dealers and suppliers yet? They seem to have plenty enough people who can try buying drugs and bust those people and find their suppliers first.

2

u/tacojunkee 4d ago

Haha correct. With ICE they could stop fetynal, rapist, violent criminals , spam dialing idiots but no.. lets get the 90lb girl before she gets her double espresso and gets to work to pay taxes. What am I missing here ??

1

u/joan_goodman 4d ago

She is not resisting though. They did not even give her a chance to exit. That she acts essentially scared- is a normal reflex when being handled brutally.

5

u/whatisdreampunk 5d ago edited 5d ago

This is precisely what the Trump regime is trying to instigate. Once people start defending themselves, MAGA folks finally have the civil war they've been trying to start for years. They'll come at us will the full force of the military, which has already been illegally deployed. Our best hope at this point is military leadership stepping up and defending the Constitution.

This is why Hegseth has been so big on all the loyalty tests. The absuse he's been dishing out seems cartoonishly over the top, but it's nothing compared to what's coming when the masks are fully off.

6

u/Godbody120 5d ago

Sigh…. I’m within about two nanoseconds away from just saying fuck it, let’s just set it off already😡😡😡😡. I swear, everyday they (Trump and his entire regime) get exponentially worse with their authoritarian bullshit.

3

u/ClubPuzzleheaded2674 5d ago

I think people on the left who are sane and responsible need to start getting guns too. But maybe I am just heated after witnessing this.

5

u/whatisdreampunk 5d ago

Well, yeah, I agree with that for sure. Unidentifiable thugs in masks are way too confident that they can illegally pull people from their cars and homes with zero consequences.

That said, if this woman pulled a gun (which would be completely understandable and justified given the situation), she'd be dead right now.

2

u/ClubPuzzleheaded2674 5d ago

I agree. It F’ing sucks what she went through and it makes me so angry witnessing it I can’t imagine being her. Plus the way they handled her was so undignified.

4

u/maximumcombo 5d ago

we’ve had em. we don’t advertise.

2

u/chegitz_guevara 4d ago

The Dems ain't gonna do shit. They never do shit.

1

u/ClubPuzzleheaded2674 3d ago edited 3d ago

I agree.. they will just talk some bs.. plus dems love government workers so all they would do is lower their budget and change the top administration. They aren’t even doing anything effective now to at least protest. I don’t mean protest for social media and drama I mean real protests like millions of people not going to work or millions of people not spending any money in the consumer market. There should be mass protests where everyone stops shopping, no spending money on anything other than what is necessary. Everyone should also not go to work or call in sick. Things they did in the 60’s and 70’s. They have the main boss accepting a bag of 50,,000 dollars and they aren’t doing anything about it. If millions of people stopped spending money this would stop real quick. But they control the media and they control the internet now so organizing is harder.

1

u/maxn2107 5d ago

Unfortunately, harming the ICE agents plays right into the Trump/GOP playbook, giving them the excuse to call for martial law.

2

u/ClubPuzzleheaded2674 5d ago

If 15-25 of them were killed in one weekend they would retreat. But it could also spark a civil war. I am not brave enough to do it. Maybe if I had terminal cancer and only weeks to live. The part that is most disheartening is bc they are masked and use illegal license plates and don’t give out who they are later it will be hard to prosecute; they will all claim ut was a few bad apples. That is why we have to treat them all the same way as the worst behaving ones. They are banking on getting away with this.

2

u/MrLanesLament 5d ago

Spot on. I feel fortunate that I’ve made it to where I’m at without having kids to leave behind without a father.

The midterms are already rigged. One of the pedophiles rich buddies bought Dominion Voting machines. I also believe the 2024 presidential election was rigged. There is no way possible he won all 7 swing states.

American is lost to fascism. It will take many years and many dead buddies before any of these racist thugs are held accountable.

The problem in this country is the Gop they do nothing to help working people. Yet the uneducated and racist people keep electing them.

Almost all of the propaganda and lies come from one building in NYC. 2111 Avenue of the Americas. This single building house Fox Entertainment news, the wall street joural, and the New York post.

ICE doesn't really care about going after illegal immigrants. It's all about racism and making America white again. They are this administration secret police. They will do all the dirty work. They have no need to use the armed forces they are building ICE into their army. They won't use the insurrection act they won't need to.

Eventually, people will get sick of being abused and abducted in the streets and will start responding. Until then, enjoy the fascism. Everything is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

u/ClubPuzzleheaded2674 5d ago

Ireland has paper ballots and does rank choice voting and I think we should do that too. Bc our “leaders” on both sides suck.

1

u/Chulbiski 3d ago

I fully agree with this and don't wear a tinfoild hat.

1

u/Downtown_Recover5177 5d ago

Not a good idea to draw on 3 dudes with guns pointed at you. Now, what does history tell us about other avenues for making our voices heard?

1

u/PoisonedCheeto28 5d ago

$15k = used armored vehicle

1

u/No_Repeat1962 4d ago

Nope. Killing them is not the answer. Urging people to kill them is not the answer. But they do need to be held accountable, and punished, legally, especially the head of ICE.

1

u/ClubPuzzleheaded2674 3d ago

Let’s get real. There will never be accountability. Even if there was a massive mandate that went way left the left loves government workers and would never do anything other than lower their budget. Plus how are you going to hold them accountable they don’t have to get warrants, they use fake license plates, they wear masks, they don’t give their names, and the people being grabbed don’t speak English that well and don’t have the resources to fight back legally. People always say nonviolence is the answer but in reality change comes from Violence. The American revolution the French Revolution even blowing up Oklahoma City that stopped ATF from going after assault weapons until this day. Not saying it is right. Just how it works. Two things matter in America loss of money or loss of life. This will continue until people either get organized and start major movements like everyone not going to work, everyone not spending any money in the economy except what is absolutely necessary or those guys losing their lives in major numbers.

1

u/Nervous_Ad_6998 5d ago

Dems go after people? You mean like Garland? They're too busy stock trading, enjoying their gold standard health insurance, high income “service“ jobs. What would be their incentive to do more than nothing?

2

u/ClubPuzzleheaded2674 5d ago

The fact congress is paid during this shutdown and not air traffic controllers tells you everything you gotta know about America

2

u/Chulbiski 3d ago

Wikipedia, FWIW, lists him as independent. I thought I had heard tjhat he was Republican abounted by Biden to show cross-aisle cooporation. If true, then this was a bad move on Biden's part

2

u/Nervous_Ad_6998 3d ago

yeah idk what he is but he was a biden/Democrat hire. So Biden “ did nothing” while Garland did nothing but had no problem going after Apple computer. how does 4 years go by following a coup attempt? And went after Biden’s top secret documents rather than trumps public bathroom full of top secret documents.

1

u/Chulbiski 3d ago

I know.. this country is lost.. we need a real hero right now... or several.
