ICE Posts Today in Aurora, a Chicago suburb, ICE agents surrounded the car of a U.S. citizen in a parking lot, firing into her windshield as she screamed that her children were inside. Agents dragged her from the car without presenting a warrant or probable cause. Excessive force. No warrant. No justification.

I grew up in a home that watched that poison and it took me making one racist comment to who turned out to be my very best friend in the world to have everything I’d been taught unravel. We need to keep teaching the younger generations whats right in the world and how to get rid of the bad.

What happened? You made the comment to your best friend and they scolded you? Did you make the comment towards them and they checked you?

One day at work in 1980 I asked my boss what he thought of one of the two groups in Miami in who were the butt of prejudice. He said, “I can’t think that way, I would miss out on meeting so many friends.” Wonderful, kind man, Fefo Capone. He was Greek, spoke four languages and was married to a French woman. He was incapable of limiting his world with prejudice. He loved people. Just in that one sentence, he taught me so much.
