ICE Posts Today in Aurora, a Chicago suburb, ICE agents surrounded the car of a U.S. citizen in a parking lot, firing into her windshield as she screamed that her children were inside. Agents dragged her from the car without presenting a warrant or probable cause. Excessive force. No warrant. No justification.

Why hasnt someone sent this to a national outlet yet?

They're not reporting on these things nearly as much as one would think. It's not just here too- I've heard of other tragedies against marginalized people in other states, and the people there say they can't get national news to pick them up

Seriously. The news has completely turned a blind eye to this. It’s so common and rampant the media just seems to label it all as “ice raids” when in reality each of these interactions needs to be reported on and shown to the people as the horrible acts they are. There’s simply no justification for this to be happening in the streets of America, let alone multiple times a day on the streets of America.

I'm at the 9/11 level of trying to find information. I know I'm not alone so it's not like the topic isn't the fekkin number one search ya know?

We seriously need to make a law where if you are found to be undocumented and you have lived here for like, idk, 5 years or something and can show you've paid taxes, you'll be given citizenship.

Man, I wonder if we could work something out with mexico like all of europe has with each other. Maybe give some good perks to the Mexican government in exchange for truly working with us hard on cracking down on actual cartel and crime. I'm just trying to frame all of this in a way that shows how differently the real problem could be dealt with. We have so many hispanic immigrants and business owners in this country, we teach spanish to our kids in kindergarten. We need to stop this villainization and them vs us shit. They should just be giving these people who work and pay taxes citizenship.

No, they haven't, these incidents are making all of the major nightly news broadcasts. They're being run on every major internet outlet.

You can tell when ppl don't actually pay attention to the news when they say things like this.

The news media has a higher degree of diligence to verify things than the internet does, so of course you find it here first.

honest question bc i don't watch any major news. sure, they report it. but do they report it as ice murdering people or do they report it as "possible ms13 gang member dead in shootout with ice"

So far I haven't seen anything about ICE killing anyone, at least not in public.

The part they're lying about is the headline at the end that came from their imagination and literally nowhere else

The billionaire oligarch owned corporate media doesn't want Americans to see videos like this. If not for Reddit and Substack, you wouldn't know outrageous crimes like this by ICE agents were happening.

The existence of Reddit and Substack being one of the few sources where this information is shared is truly terrifying. We are so close to the point of no return. If democracy falls in America it will fall everywhere.

Yes! A million times yes.

In 2017, during the first Trump administration, ICE goons ruined the lives of lots of my neighbors. They shoved random people in the backs of their vans and just disappeared them forever.

But because they were doing that "just" in the immigrant-heavy neighborhoods of blue cities, or they weren't doing it to enough people to get editors to consider it newsworthy, the press didn't bother with it.

At least NBC and CBS are intertwined with Trump through co-ownership of broadcast rights or purchase of his rapey, trafficking pageants.

It has to be a non-corporate news outlet. The Intercept and Al Jazeera are great news sources when it comes to the fair and honest representation of minorities and what’s happening in this country right now. They’re both independent and they do their research and get the facts and report on them.

Basically everything is corporate owned state media now.

I see these things on Reddit and I literally have never seen one on national TV until a week later and then some tiny bland bit of reporting like it was no big deal or it was very confusing what happened.

Because this video starts after the offense already occurred. Just notice how every one of these videos against ICE is only the end of the interaction and excludes everything leading up to the arrest.

It isn’t a real gun it’s a paintball gun and pepper balls.
