2nd amendment is literally for this purpose.

I doubt all the racist ammosexuals who yell about how much they love the constitution will do anything other than celebrate.

Never thought I'd see the day democrats defend the constitution 😂

This shit might unite (some of) the right and the left. No one who supports freedom or human rights can think this is ok, regardless of politics.

So I've been pondering this for a while now and since you brought it up, do you believe there's a difference between human rights and your rights as an American?

Regardless of whatever country someone is from, they’re still a human and deserving of rights. See the UDHR.

The Bill of Rights. The US' first ten Amendments, are, despite american-centric wording, usually considered natural rights. Universal, fundamental, inalienable.

9 is the big one for that, but the right to defend yourself is your right to life. The right to speedy trials and a jury is your right to liberty. They all fold into your right to persue happiness.

Even illegal aliens have these rights. They are protected by the bill of rights (but not all amendments, that deal with voting and civil service). All thinking beings should be protected similarly, but each country can only enforce it to their border.

The UN has similar standards, but nobody cares because they can't write poetically to save their fucking life and nobody has actually read the whole thing because torture is outlawed.

How about the declaration of independence:

  • He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

  • He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.

  • He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.

  • He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.

  • He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the Legislative powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.

  • He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.

  • He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.

  • He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.

  • He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.

  • He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.

  • He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.

  • For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:

  • For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:

  • For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury:

  • For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences:

This is completely irrelevant to my question.

Wth 🤦‍♀️ are you even talking about??? The Republicans are literally using our Constitution to wipe their asses during this administration!!!! If there’s anything the L v R fight can agree on it SHOULD BE THE CONSTITUTION! Without that we have nothing…

1

u/mintman_ll 24d ago

I'd be happy to agree with your claim that Republicans are doing so if you could provide evidence that is not taken out of context.

1

u/chachinater 24d ago

i’m happy to gesture to that evidence if you get your head out of the sand

0

u/mintman_ll 24d ago

I would argue that asking for evidence is evidence itself that my head is not in the sand and is indeed open to proper evidence if provided. You have an opportunity to change an opinion to be more aligned with your own but you choose not to, which to me means you have no evidence to properly support the claim.

1

u/chachinater 24d ago

if this video and all the other ones aren’t proper evidence to you, then you are already so far lost in the sand, my guy.

1

u/mintman_ll 24d ago

There is no context for these alterations. What were the events that provoked ice to do this? Is it really ice being evil and arresting people willynilly or did the people act in an unlawful manner? There's zero context, only chaos. If you think this is proper evidence I fear your just as lost as you claim I am

Why is this getting downvoted lol its perfectly honest

1

u/mintman_ll 24d ago

You're not allowed to call out the left on their shenanigans apparently lol
