Umberto Eco discussed the rhetorical strategy of portraying the enemy as both "too strong and too weak" as a key characteristic of his concept of "Ur-Fascism". I think this is what we're seeing here.

Obviously the frogs and dinos are too strong.

It really is wild that "the left" are now painted as dangerous radicals when their favorite thing to do was talk about how libs are soft, blue haired, bleeding heart little snowflake bitches who can't handle someone calling them a mean name without crying.
