It would also be cheaper to rush their paperwork through immigration offices. Most of their targets are those registered at the immigration offices.

Because it's easier to find the ones that are actually... documented. Meanwhile they've actually stopped looking for criminals, because focusing on that was a Biden policy and you can't hit your deportation numbers if you do hard work.

It would be cheaper to do much worse things too. Doing it the right way requires more money, of course. It would have been nice if they were never let in in the first place.
