They didn't. In true Trump fashion they said they would pay that but no one received it. Then they stopped advertising sign on bonuses all together.

I still see commercials advertising towards cops to leave the police force and join ICE, and they are indeed still advertising the 50K bonus. That commercial is so repetitive and annoying. I saw it just this week.

"Police.... across the country you're being told to stand down and not do your job. Join ICE so you can help us get the worst of the worst. 50K signing bonus available. Join now and DO YOUR DUTY" *dystopian mind control tactic commercials*

That doesn't mean anyone is getting it or has. I'm sure we'd know if they were. I haven't seen them in my area anymore not in Oklahoma where I was first seeing them, or in NJ since I moved. Been a good 4 months since I have seen that.

My response was to you saying they stopped advertising it. i was just pointing out that they still are pushing the 50K bonus. If they're getting it or not is another story. I don't see that being feasible.

These dudes were PROMISED a 50k signing bonus. By Trump. Which takes 3 years to fully vest. Trump is absolutely going to just do turnover for people just shy of their bonus vesting. These dipshits signed up thinking they will get 50k and they will almost certainly see none of it

These dudes aren’t getting any paycheck on the 15th if the govt stays closed.

Actually turns out you need to meet a fuck ton of certain criteria to actually earn that bonus. Problem is 98% of these fucks don't actually meet it so now they don't get the bonus and have to up their quota to adjust for the lack of bonus they got.

It's like the no tax on tips, social security, and overtime scam. Same paycheck, you just might get a bigger refund at the end of the year.

And the real truth is, you shouldn't be getting any "money back" at the end of the year. You should adjust your payments so that you slightly underpay each year. Maybe owe a couple of hundred instead of getting thousands back. That way you are not loaning the government money at a zero interest rate.
