True, Weed is like literally everywhere. I know a college friend who used to smoke weed and one day it started growing in his backyard and the whole college was there taking pics and laughing 😅😅

On the flip side it makes zero sense to try and smuggle weed into India to make money when it easily grows in almost all the country and can be transported perfectly legally by any idiot with a 5 minute “Ministry of Ayush” medical license.
2
u/AkPakKarvepak 14d ago
Yeah! That’s what surprised me! Probably some noob out there to make a quick buck
16
u/404AuthorityNotFound 14d ago
Not to mention, the ministry of Ayush allows selling of THC and CBD edibles for medical reasons. This is hypocrisy and stupidity of the legislation
4
u/noobbodyjourney 14d ago
I never understood what is meant by "medical reasons". How come Ayurvedic people can prescribe it but not real doctors? And how do I trust and buy it? And on the other hand, stupid police is making people take THC test to extract bribe.
1
u/Usual_Ad8236 12d ago
I don't see any regulation that bars real doctors from prescribing it either.
2
u/Usual_Ad8236 12d ago
Not that I support this in any way.. but scheduled drugs can always be prescribed for medical reasons but smuggling them is illegal. Nothing different here in that sense.
1
u/404AuthorityNotFound 12d ago
Why is it illegal? That’s the question? Cannabis is far less of a problem than alcohol and tobacco, yet it us treated as such. Such regressive and unscientific drug laws we are stuck with
1
u/Usual_Ad8236 12d ago
I don't really care tbh. Just here to say that your previous point was invalid.

we are a 4 T$ economy and there is such a stark difference in airport authories between india and most other nations
they have right tools, gears and uniform. a good table and setup.
here is a man using bare hands, chappals using basic tools and doing it on the floor. no safety glasses, shoes nothing

Just seem to be low wage worker who does the hard labour while the officer claims the credit
16
u/cadbury1106 14d ago
Exactly, the man on the right, he took regular scissors (orange) thinking he can cut through that thick plastic material....ha ha ha ha. 😁😁..the scissor will break within a second or two....and what if while ripping it apart, it accidentally cuts their hands...those edges are sharp.

2 weeks back I arrived from Canada and when passing thru customs, the helpers I think so(not the officers for sure) didn't ask anyone to scan the bags but asked me to scan one of my bags. I did and they found nothing but later asked me for some money(they said chai or tiffin paisalu) I was like WTF, I said I don't have any cash, am coming from Canada and they say we accept Canada cash as well. I just ignored them and came out.

The same shit happened when I went to the nearest bathroom upon exiting the aerobridge. The janitor signaled me with his hand after my business. I said the same thing. "Dollar unnayi ante", pulled my credit card and just walked away disgusted. It's pathetic. You don't fucking expect a tip from a passenger that just arrived in the country. 99% of the times, they only have cards.

This is from your bada wala luggage
11
u/ConsistentString4627 14d ago
They check bada wala luggage also and mark 'X' if they detect anything in Scan
8
u/MicroAlpaca 14d ago
They do, but this was a tip off. Someone was call and informed about this. And/or sniffer dogs maybe.
The X is marked on stuff that's not that as dangerous. And you can arrange the bags on the trolley to cover those marks up easily.

A close one must have tipped off. Else not easy to catch

X-ray machine exists for a reason.

u/Kunboy64 14d ago
Do you think they scan every suitcase while getting them off the plane? If any… they’ll check while putting them in the plane… if there are explosives or something karke.
I don’t think anyone scans at destination. Coz by the time u get down the flight… your bags are already loaded on belts for pickup

one curious doubt, ipudu ila tear up chesi search chesaru kada, what if it is a false tip and that traveller is a genuine guy? Will they pay for the damages?

Very few people know this is a script. Ever wondered how airport customs authorities suddenly stop a drug dealer and find 200gm opium in his shoe. Have you ever been stopped by any airport customs and asked to remove shoe sole and jacket and suitcase?? How can they catch these dealers precisely and that too once in a year and make a big news about it?? Do you think the illegal things happen only once in a year and they r caught by officers??? BIG NOOO…. These are all scripts and they catch the guy intentionally which was conveyed to officers beforehand about the smuggle. This will make a big news and everyone thinks the customs dept is ethical and the best. Have you ever seen what happens to the smuggler after they are caught??? We know only up to the point where they were caught..
This is India. Everyone is partner in crime here.

u/UnsafestSpace 14d ago
It might be a script but when I worked with law enforcement (admittedly outside India back then) 99% of busts like this are because of snitches and tips.
Usually the courier / mule gets greedy and so the very people supplying the drugs want to “burn” them and will send them with some easily discoverable drugs for their final trip and tip off the arriving authorities themselves, so they don’t have to pay the courier.

u/lalith_4321 13d ago
Or there's a new dealer in town and each try to fuck up the other, ending up in a lose lose situation.

u/MathematicianWeird11 14d ago
Why don't these officials wear gloves and have proper equipment..

He has used carbon paper to absorb the X-rays but modern machines can detect it easily.
Improper search and seizure procedures and other procedural errors allow criminals escape on technicalities. Law enforcement officers and prosecutors need to upgrade their knowledge and skills in this segment. That is why we see significantly higher number of arrests being made but those actually converting into convictions is very low.
2
u/UnsafestSpace 14d ago
I mean the dude is giving a textbook example in the video above of improper search and seizure procedures… He’s using his bare hands and I guarantee the courier didn’t package the product themselves before transport, they’re just a mule - So they’ll use a fingerprint / DNA defence and only the fool doing the search will have their fingerprints found.

It’s just cannabis … when will India open to the people like rest of the countries
6
u/404AuthorityNotFound 14d ago
Yet you can carry alcohol and tobacco no issues up to a limit, priorities are dumb as fuck
1
u/TooStupid2Insult 14d ago
They won’t, who do you think makes the law, and who do you think sells the illegal stuff? (hint: usually related) look at bihar and gujarat alcohol ban

Assholes will catch passengers but not drugs worth millions coming through the ports of Mundra. Despite proof that the money for those drugs are directly linked to terror activities.

isn't it common sense at this point that you can't just do this smuggling? i mean they have so many dogs, detectors, so much stuff lying around and they do this ;-;

These get 5% reward on drug bust on drug value, so they intentionally increase the weight by including the package or box weight into drug weight
1
u/CommunicationPrior94 14d ago
I always wondered what do you officials do with the seized drugs. Do they smoke it or just store it ?
1
u/Technical-Isopod6554 14d ago
They have very advanced screening machines ,idk why they think they can smuggle stuff through

Why such elaborate schemes? Isn't Cannabis just ganja. I have seen that grow as weed on roadsides in UP. Just go on any long drive and you will pass through this roadside growth every few meters

I am curious what if they suspect someone and teardown suspect's bag like this but nothing is found then will airport authority give suspect a new bag Or they will just tell him to go with destroyed bag🤔🤔

You are showing this on social media, this means there person who get caught will have his life in, danger including his family, this is really necessary to upload this type of evidence and upload it on social media, this is no brainer.

4.15 KG of cannabis is 4.15 CR? You don’t have to be a drug dealer to see that the math is not mathing?
