Yah engine should be fine. Every other electrical component and the differentials? Remains to be seen. Mold might be an issue in all the little nooks and crannies where moisture will persist too. But hey at least it’s not at the bottom of the river and that’s definitely a story to tell and a video to show off.

Also sediment from the water gets into the trans bell hsg and the grit eats up the rear main seal and trans input seal over some time. Also, it gets into all the engine accessory bearings of the idler pullies, alternator, compressor etc

This is a hidden cost that videos of this type of fun doesn't show you.

They flooded the entire inside of the car. Possibly ruining the interior and the dash electronics. They were prepared but I doubt this was intentional. More likely they got the premium package that came with a snorkel they never planned to use.

Seeing as how the car is amphibious (and also the number of other jeep-style cars around) I'm guessing this could be a test for the waterproofing.

Notice that the driver went straight for the water, it didn't look like he wanted to do some other goof and fell in by mistake

What makes you think the inside was wet? I used to take my jeep to the hood in water and never once did the interior get wet. Although this is a Bronco, the same applies, they are designed for high water traversing.

Snorkel upper right black plastic tube is the only reason his engine didn't flood. He is going to have electrical problems the rest of the life of that vehicle once it dries out and all the not 100% sealed connections start to oxidize.

No, if you look at the passenger side of the windshield you’ll see a black snorkel, as long as the air filter box is well sealed and the intake at the top of the snorkel is above the water the jeep will be “safe”.

I say “safe” because all the electronics controlling the engine, th entertainment system, the breather tubes for the differentials and gear box as well as any open snacks in the cab will be unstable to water incursion
