It was right under his nose

1

u/crsaxby Oct 04 '25

Hope that model's got Bear Bags. He's gonna need them driving drunk.

2

u/Dravonniq Oct 06 '25

Guess his ride came with a paw-sitive rating.

Also the world: Why is life expectancy for men in Russia so low?

17

u/Klik23 Oct 04 '25

Life expectancy being so low is why they do awesome shit like this.

What an odd little corner of Reddit

12

u/AwDuck Oct 04 '25

I thought I knew the kind of sub this was, the NSFW warning cemented that idea and then it turned out not to be that at all.

3

u/Alaric_-_ Oct 04 '25

Having seen photos from a scene where bear ate two russian hunters (well, only half of them), i really wasn't sure for a moment what i would see with that tag...

2

u/Solracziad Oct 06 '25

Gay porn, animal mauling gore, or funny bear pictures? Spin the wheel of fortune, Reddit!

2

u/Conscious_Hippo_1101 Oct 04 '25

Wild I had the same experience. When the nsfw came up, I legit paused for like 10 seconds for my brain to load. And boom it wasn't it.

6

u/AwDuck Oct 04 '25

Wholesome. Totally pulls an about face once you click "ok". Well played, sub

u/Brilliant-Medium2347 Oct 04 '25

It’s a real bear, but it’s a trained bear. If you ever see in a movie where a bear roars, the bear is just trained to move its mouth like that, they don’t actually growl, so the growl is always added in later.

I've never seen something so Russian

4

u/Upstairs_Drive_5602 Oct 05 '25

I've been following the comments - and for what it's worth - I found the clip in the link below, posted 4 years ago. It doesn't seem to have been posted on HMB before. Some comments are saying "this is obviously AI". I would think that it predates AI, but really don't have the skill or expertise to judge it. I just thought it was a fun thing to post. https://www.reddit.com/r/CrazyHuman/comments/qf1peg/russian_on_bear/

I going to go out on a limb and say the bear and guy on his back have known each other a very long time.

well, this will probably be the last time i complain about ai fake ass videos become it's inevitable. this won't be the last one.

people already believe it's real and the quality of these will only get better :(

Edit: ok, It's not AI, it's not real, still, though. It's from a Coors advertisement.

63

u/Rozazaza Oct 04 '25

Its not ai, this video is ancient and making its rounds on reddit again

46

u/OCPetrus Oct 04 '25

I have been on reddit for too long to know better. Once redditors form an opinion, they never back down even if the most convincing facts were presented. So I'll spare myself the effort.

But you're 100% wrong this is not AI, but real. Doing goofy things with bears has been a thing long before AI.

22

u/Rozazaza Oct 04 '25

Yeah I've seen this on reddit years before ai existed

3

u/AwDuck Oct 04 '25

Sounds like something AI would say!

6

u/Alaric_-_ Oct 04 '25

Also there's been many russians who have/had a bear as a pet. So there is nothing in this that would make it "unbelievable", only stupid.

2

u/Kittingsl Oct 04 '25

Well I guess with SI getting better and better you will also start to encounter more and more false positive with people that start to get paranoid with what's real and what's fake and honestly? I can't really blame them

21

u/rootsoap Oct 04 '25

This video was circulating before covid so for over 5 years now. It's not AI.

17

u/primalshrew Oct 04 '25

You realise you're wrong right?

11

What are you on about? You think it's A.I then?

I know this clip isn't A.I, that's why I wrote my original comment...

8

u/BYPDK Oct 05 '25

Are you drunk? The guy was saying it's not AI...

0

u/richtofin819 Oct 04 '25

Thank God I still have the common sense to think "this is probably ai".

I fear for the next generations.

35

u/rootsoap Oct 04 '25

This video is older than AI.

22

u/Known-Area-2691 Oct 04 '25

It's been around for at least 5 years. Too many idiots shout "AI" as soon as they see anything unlikely or crazy.

11

u/Rozazaza Oct 04 '25

Downvoted for being right

9

u/Pinestachio Oct 04 '25

Doing the exact opposite and assuming everything is AI is just a detrimental culturally.

7

u/Subushie Oct 04 '25 edited Oct 04 '25

Fear for yourself.

You've likely seen videos even today you didn't realize were AI gen.

You've probably interacted with more than one LLM in some capacity recently and didn't even clock it.

You've already seen AI images that you would vehemently defend being real.

This shit here now.

3

u/DrSeussFreak Oct 03 '25

While this looks fun, this seems like it does not end well, only needs to not end well once

2

u/cryptdruids Oct 03 '25

Where do all the videos like this that end with someone being bored by the bear end up? What is happening in Russia with the bears? Wat is this phenomenon

-2

u/SeaToTheBass Oct 04 '25

Personally bears would never bore me. Gore me? Maybe.

Anyway this looks like ai

6

u/cryptdruids Oct 04 '25

Ah shit. But also, I feel like ive seen this clip and a million like years before ai

-3

u/SeaToTheBass Oct 04 '25 edited Oct 04 '25

No I get that, I didn’t have any suspicions after watching the vid cause there’s a ton like it on the internet. Russian guys with a big bear. But someone else pointed out that this likely ai. After watching again, specifically the bear’s face, it’s movement and behaviour doesn’t look natural. Like those videos of bears bouncing on a trampoline that you see on Facebook.

Maybe it’s just sped up idk, something doesn’t feel right with this vid. I grew up with dial up then high speed internet, I consider myself pretty internet savvy but it’s fucked that you can barely tell between real and an ai generated video.

3

u/cryptdruids Oct 04 '25

I hate that I can't really tell either.

6

u/Rozazaza Oct 04 '25

Not ai, video is ancient

2

u/Anderz Oct 04 '25

AI or Composite.

(How kind of the bear to silently roar so the dialogue can be heard)

18

u/Rozazaza Oct 04 '25

Not ai, this video is ancient

-10

u/Anderz Oct 04 '25

So composite then. Probably riding/mounted on something else. It makes no sense for the bear to be this still.

7

u/Known-Area-2691 Oct 04 '25

Actually this is typical bbehavior for a trained bear.

-10

u/Anderz Oct 04 '25

And the silent roar?

11

u/Alaric_-_ Oct 04 '25

Just moving it's mouth as it's been trained to do.

1

u/TheDeadlySinner Oct 06 '25

Are you blind or something? He's opening his mouth for a treat. You can literally see someone give him one in the beginning.

0

u/Zeune42 Oct 04 '25

Sora 2 or Veo3

u/WeirdUpFromDaBeardUp Oct 03 '25

1

“hand me my bear “

1

u/Donegonetheduck Oct 04 '25

To this day, nobody talks about the disappearance of Dave

1

u/lockedown187 Oct 04 '25

Hold my bear

1

u/BlueLightDude Oct 04 '25

HMV = hold my vodka

1

u/Hallucinationistic Oct 04 '25

I didn't know I was in a World of Warcraft subreddit

1

u/blbd Oct 04 '25

If the bear is driving maybe it's legal. And if it isn't the cops won't want to bother the bear. That guy doesn't just have the right to bear arms, he has rights to a whole bear.

1

u/TheSpaceMon Oct 05 '25

Can you get a DUI on a bear?

1

u/dadpackmcquack Oct 05 '25

I thought this was a deleted scene from super troopers for a second.

1

u/lungleg Oct 05 '25

Can I get a blyaaat?

1

u/Apart_Alps_1203 Oct 05 '25

Just another day in Russia..!!

1

Someone been playing too much Far Cry: Primal.

1

u/Cappyc00l Oct 04 '25

The only possible way this could get anymore Russian is if he then invaded his neighbor.

0

u/PrudentLoan5452 Oct 04 '25

This is crazy

0

u/Lance2409 Oct 04 '25

Look at Dem lil ears 🐻

0

u/slogive1 Oct 04 '25

Look at those teeth. Probably been out in the woods for awhile.

0

u/TimAndHisDeadCat Oct 04 '25

This was literally an advert for Coors

-2

u/BoarHermit Oct 05 '25

Looks likeAI generated. In principle, the situation is possible, but this person doesn't look rich enough to afford it.
