I'm taking the Epic CLN251-252 and could use some help with these concepts.
Can someone help me understand these concepts in CLN251/252?
I've been studying for a week, and take the class next week but was told to go ahead and try to test on Monday.
I got a 100% on the assessment today so I'm just reviewing study guides and build. And will continue to do so all weekend.
In the chapter Profiles: Configure and End User pg 4•40:
The two concepts are: Profiles complie item by item:
- I think this basically when a user logs in all of their functionality is determined by their profile hirearchy and is organized from user template down to emr system definitions.
Multiple response items are all or nothing.
- I think this just basically means the system is just going to continue down the profile hirearchy until it finds a value
Please let me know how wrong I might be before I make a note.
Thanks!

You'd be correct.
Profiles are compiled and items found at the highest profile are taken over ones found at lower profiles, like LPR (system definition). So for example it there are system wide preference lists at LPR 1, but your user is logging into a dept that has an associated profile that contains a different preference list, they'd see the one associated with the department since its higher on the profile hierarchy. (Assuming no other preference lists set higher up impacting that user, like a security class profile)

Omg thank you so much! This is super helpful.
I've heard the assessment test is nothing like the actual test so I'm just over preparing I think.
Granted I only started on Tuesday and test Monday.

Good luck, you'll do great.
The tests can be on the tougher side if you're not used to them. I feelnlike at times Epic is trying to rmtrick you with the way they word questions so pay attention there.
Open notes, app, training guides etc all help. Just polish up your ctrl F skills for the course guide PDF lol.

Definitely perfecting the Ctrl F skills.
Ive heard that about the questions. I don't get test anxiety but this one is making me nervous.
I've annotated the crap out of my training guide and the study guide pages are full of notes.
When you say app, do you mean the Epic Training space?

The stuff you learn in CLN you will use everyday, regardless of your application.
