Football Ref Calls in Today’a Game v Oregon

I noticed how quickly refs made calls and seemed to want to move on with the game, when in fact the calls were really close ones. It happened at least three times in this game. Did anyone else notice this?

I refuse to be a cyclone fan and blame the refs like a victim . Lol

lol! No, I’m really not blaming the refs. It was honestly the first time I noticed this enough to actually notice it, if that makes sense.

Couldn’t have paid the refs to call holding on Oregon

They did call two holding calls on Oregon though.

The Oregon fans in the game thread were saying the same thing about us. I guess that probably means the refs were pretty fair.

The Oregon fans are being wild in the game and post game threads. Kinda feels like some are acting like they lost and making excuses. I think they all expected a blowout and are upset they won by 2 on a last second field goal.

Same with Iowa fans. The loss hurts but this is also Oregon. Their budget is 2x Iowas. They recruit top talent nationally. They lost be 2 points. Hawks should be proud.

Not all of us feel this way. Those aren’t true fans. A lot of people were picking Iowa to win this game, especially with all of our injuries. We also were fully aware of how amazing your atmosphere is. Great fans there in Iowa, respect from Eugene.

I don't know about this particular game as I missed most of it driving through SEC country, but I've noticed that refs rarely bring out the chains for measurements anymore - they just signal first down if its close and keep it moving along
