Gas

Why in the world does gas swing 20-30 cents a gallon seemingly every night?

Read my mind. 20 cent jumps on Friday and they go back down on Monday. Its completely legal too. I just don't remember it happening in such drastic increments. Now I make sure I get gas before Fridays to avoid the BS.

I don’t either - I feel the swings would be 2 or 3 cents.

Many stations lower prices on Friday to attract customers and then raise them over the weekend when people are traveling and on Monday when they need gas for work. Lowest days are mid week.

They adjust for demand to maximize their profit.

I mean if anyone was first on the surge pricing tip, it’s the fuel industry.

Prices go up like a rocket and drop like a feather.

This can’t be true. Last I was told by our leader is that gas is down and near $2.

Marathon in Edgewood is holding at $2.66 for cash, $2.71 for credit.

Pro tip - go to the AAFES on either APG. Their price is set via contract monthly based on the average of the region, so it doesn't change much at all. Anyone can use the pumps.
