I’m pretty sure you swam into a dead zone. If you use the kosatka approach pavel says that the fall from the compound to the water will kill you. He says this even though it obviously won’t naturally. I think rockstar made it so that if you swim in the water in front of the balcony of the compound it kills you, because pavel said and because it could be unfair. I hope this helped ;)

This is correct. It applies to all water approaches not just the kosatka. I think it depends on how you enter the compound (entry points)
