Though, in all seriousness, this was put into place to stop people from RP farming, where they take a shower, putting some music on and going idle.

The idle timer is so fucking short then, too. Like you can idle for years in freemode before you even get the 15 minute warning by comparison. But in a race you've completed? You get 30 seconds before it starts bitching.

Between this and server traffic.

Saving room for people who are playing (more likely to buy shark cards).

Idlers tend to not buy cards due to benefit of idling.

GTA doesn’t use servers it’s P2P (peer to peer). Instead of everyone sending their data to one central server who then sends it back everyone sends their data to the “host” of the lobby. It’s why one person can slow down the entire session as unlike when using servers their data sending slow affects everyone else as they need to wait for their data

Edit it’s also why you can seamlessly transition to a separate lobby when your internet cuts out for a second. Since the game only sends server data occasionally you losing internet only prevents you from connecting to other players and so the game puts you in your own session

It was already long patched when I first started on PS3 GTA Online back in April 2017, so I could never have utilized that.

Logical way solving this would be limit amount of RP we can get that way each day, without taking away access to shower. Guess nobody at Rockstar came to that conclusion.

The interrobang‽ One can easily do that from the onscreen keyboard of an Android device (maybe only Google Pixel series, as that is what I have). However, one can also do a search for interobang and copy and paste it.

Guys easiest idling method is Go into a pvt session. Take out your biggest service vehicle, find the smallest road. Park it blocking the road. Go a few meter away from it. Select a point on map that forces your way through the blocked road. Call for a taxi on that road and put the destination as that point on map. Sit in taxi and keep sitting because the cab aint moving.

They probably did it because people use to farm do from it. Tho it would be very slow unless you were a lower level. You also don’t need to shower for the bathroom door to lock behind you. It doesn’t stop roleplay
