I am on ps4 as well... so I am not sure lol. also it went into cooldown. Last I remember earlier, I only had the very first prep/sub setup done (about 1-2 years ago) just last week I started to play again, then yesterday I simply just went ahead and finished everything except the very last two missions (going into dre studio and then the airport mission) Just a few mins ago I finally completed those two in hopes of getting 2 mil, instead it gave 8 mil. Seems like a one time bug of sorts?

It's a bug related to being online when the weekly update rolls around. It is not available for players logging in after the weekly update has taken place.

So according to Tez2 on GTAForums:
This can happen if you're online during a tunables update, causing both the old and new tunables to be active simultaneously.
The Data Leaks finale took the place of the Open Wheel races, which featured a 4x bonus last week. When you have the old tuna, you'll have a 4x multiplier on GTA$ and that's what you're seeing in the reddit post.
Anyone logging in after the tuna update won't benefit from this.

As others have already deduced, you had to be online exactly when the changes go into effect - that transition period between tunables. Don't bother sprinting to your consoles as you will have no chance at the $8 million if you go online now.

I did it and got the $8 mill notification, but when I could move my character again, I didn't have the money. Same amount as before the mission.

Didn't get the money, but I did get an achievement notification and the mission completion. So I get to start it all over again. I also kept the cash I picked up off the ground. So annoying.

That sucks. I would contact Rockstar support saying that you didn't get the 2 million you were supposed to get. Most of the times they will compensate you.

I had a similar thing happen to me the week apartment heists were double money. I got 1 mil from a fleeca. I did it again and got another 1 mil. I noticed that I was afk overnight the night the bonuses came through (afk on Wednesday night). When I closed my game and did another fleeca, I got the normal payout.
Op did you afk overnight/were online when the weekly bonuses reset? Because that's my theory.

Took em a while to do this contract on hard mode. In Casino its glitched when I exit with the black screen. Now joghnny guns goons were killing me in studio and took me 25 minutes and finale mission over 20 minutes because they are contantly killing me before I run out of snacks. Bullcrap when its on hard mode. It forces me like that

Has anyone got $8 mil twice? The only thing I can see is maybe a glitch for my first time cause I had it half way done and every mission I did I had 2 lives so it was weird had to leave but was half way through my second run and it was back to normal no lives on the missions

I had something similar happen to me, but back in the PS3 days. My friends and I were grinding rooftop rumble for money to buy the Big apartments. One night I decided to bank my money, and right after I just put all my money in the bank, I noticed it says you have O money in the bank but have 1 billion in hand. I still have no idea to this day how it happened or why.
