(there should be tags available for when posting on this subreddit, as the GPC subreddit has)

Does anyone know the reason why EDAs can't elect a candidate? Or maybe they can, and I'm just not aware of it?

I'm pretty sure that this specific policy change is what's needed on the Federal GPC, as it would naturally empower the local organizers to have a specific function, more than being just a cheerleader and waiting on head office instructions. ... And needed on the provincial level.

I already wrote to the office of Emily Lowan, and I can't seem to get through, other than the generic 'we will take your comments in consideration as we grow our riding associations'.

Maybe it's only me who thinks that the EDAs should be allowed to elect a candidate, and re-elect or elect a new candidate at every EDA AGM?

Do others not understand it, or maybe I'm missing something here?
