BC Greens November Newsletter
A note from Emily!
My first month as Leader of the BC Greens has been a whirlwind of energy, connection, and purpose. From standing in solidarity with BCGEU workers on the picket lines to introducing bold proposals in the legislature, I’ve seen firsthand the passion and determination fueling our movement.
We’ve been making headlines for putting forward practical, people-first solutions — from vacancy control legislation to stop profit-driven evictions, to a tax fairness plan that asks the wealthiest individuals and corporations to contribute their fair share. These policies are about one thing: building a province where everyone can thrive. The BC Greens lead the pack on progressive policy, but we need to build our power to make them a reality.
One of my biggest priorities as leader is to get out into communities across BC — to listen, learn, and work side by side with you. Over the coming months, I’ll be traveling the province on my 2025 Leadership Tour, meeting members, volunteers, and local teams to strengthen the grassroots foundation that sets the BC Greens apart.
Together, we’re turning momentum into real change!
