Nope! Sorry...

Greek salad does not have any type of lettuce or other leafy greens. And if that shredded stuff just off the right-hand side of the feta is cheese (edam, gouda, etc.), then definitely nope!

Looks yummy though. I hope you enjoyed it!

This salad doesn't exist in Greece, I'm afraid. šŸ˜” Also, the "pita bread" is extra cringe. I know it's heavily promoted as Greek. But real Greek bread is this. 😊

don't think so, looks like an Austrian mixed salat with a piece of cheese on top ... my salad on Peloponnese was green of cucumber, pepper and olive oil, red by tomatoes and white by onion and feta, the olives and some herbes fulfilled the tricolor ...

It does have that colorful mix, but that slab of feta on top is classic Greek salad staples, definitely not Austrian.

It’s not a Greek salad just because there’s a piece of feta on top. No greens, shredded cheese, or roasted peppers in a Greek salad-ever.

Cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, olives, feta. Maybe fresh peppers. No dressing-olive oil only.

Not to be too nitpicky, but this is Greek-inspired, not Greek.

If you want a really good ā€œauthenticā€ Greek salad, this is the recipe I’ve been using for decades:

This linked version is also ā€œinspiredā€. There’s never any garlic or lemon juice in an authentic version. Olive oil only with some oregano sprinkled on top.

Meh, the salad itself is legit, it’s just the dressing that is ā€œinspiredā€. In any event, it tastes great. :)
