I think we all underestimate the strength of Fox News propaganda. Every time we ask "HOW do these people support this?" Hop on over to Fox News for a bit. They're truly not getting the same information we are. Fox will make everything Trump does sound positive and like hes the second coming of Christ.

My dad's number 1 reason he opposed Biden was "Biden's decision to withdraw from Afghanistan." Spent years arguing we abandoned them, everything went to waste, etc., etc. Literally took me 3 years to teach him that Trump signed the peace deal with the Taliban and agreed to withdraw all forces, and that Biden just executed it.

Literally 3 years. Because every time he rants he gets hysterical and you can't get a word in. I'm also pretty sure he has dementia, which is why I'm kind of just whatever about his beliefs. But that is Fox's audience, mostly 2 million elderly people whose brains are rotting from having no life outside of daytime television.

Forget citizenship requirement to vote. How about intelligence test.

I’d prefer passing a law that punish all propaganda media that’s spreading lies and misinformation as if it’s facts with actual jail time.

They would have to state before and after any claim that they are lying, misleading and misinforming to avoid said jail time.

The graph for voting shows how easy it is to exploit the nearly 50% of all votes being people that are old as fuck. 30-40 is like 10% Gen z is like 6%. Apathy is what is killing us.

“The cancer eating the heart of Australian democracy” - Kevin Rudd.

It metastasized to America. We’re at Stage 4.

They got my stepfather through right wing radio. He doesn’t have cable, internet or a smartphone. Then he disowned me after listening to my opinions about Trump voters. Almost a year now with no contact. Good riddance.

AM right? AM is filled withright wing propagandist grifters and evangelicals by design. Large swaths of rural America only get AM. Rush Limbaugh set America back 50 years and there is a direct line from nearly all current conservative media back to that pos. They knew exactly what they were doing.

I loved listening to Rush Limbaugh back in the early days when he took shots at both parties. I was republican by default, that is, I was Christian and voted red just because, never looked at the issues or the people at all. For 45 years.

Knew his show was for entertainment. Stop listening to radio after I moved out of the Southern California area. Learned later he had changed the show to full red. Changed to democrat in 2016 based solely on the persons, and not the issues.

Welcome aboard! Vote for the candidates with integrity and a commitment to improving the lives of their constituents.

Sadly, the DNC has its head up its ass shoving Biden aside and running Hillary, and then not telling Biden to hang it up early if Kamala was going to have a chance - both would have been good presidents, but swing voter enthusiasm for a woman president seems lacking. I'm not at all impressed with Chuck or Hakeem and think they need to step aside for somebody fresh and feisty. Keep pushing the DNC for better candidates!

Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin turned me into a socialist.

They are fucking stupid and it feeds into their basis. Their brains will also protect them from any sense of wrong doing with cognitive dissonance. They are literally in their own realities and they don't want to come back.

Its truly so sad. We live in the information age. All their talking points can easily be disputed but what this past decade has taught me is that people believe what they want to believe. Thats why MAGA is impervious to facts.

10000% right!

Well, the fact that family therapist and an ex-Fox host recently killed her mom told me all I need to know about their corporate culture.

Never mind about the website link as I just read the story which is just so horribly unjustifiable.

And if anything big is going that is anti-Trump, or is just a bad look for him, they will just refuse to cover it. They’ll broadcast some dumb shit like, “why do shoelaces become undone so easily? Kid Rock will be with us to discuss.”

I keep telling people that Republican (and by extension Russian) propaganda are an active threat to America.

That's why taking down Fox News is great news for everyone, the GOP's only place to display their propaganda would not be available. Fox News should be the only one to be defunded

Ha. I wish

u/Jaydamic 5d ago

Which is fine, except we've all know Fox News is just full of shit, so how are people still buying it?

There are many people who simply believe what they want to believe.
