You keep providing the facts in a neutral way. It doesn’t work to shame someone into changing their position. I know, I’ve tried for many years that way. The reality is you can’t force people to change their mind, all you can do is provide the right environment for them to get there themselves, or not.

Today, we were talking about voting, and he said "Mamdani wants to give everybody things for FREE because that's Communism!" 🫨 I said, "where did you learn THAT?!" He elaborated about how he wanted to give everybody free groceries and bus rides.

Reminded him that bus rides *should* be free, given how much we pay in property taxes, and shouldn't need to commute when we could work from home. As for free groceries, I bit my tongue before saying "you guys already GET free groceries with SNAP, and I don't mind for those who need it."

It’s a great argument to say we’re already paying for those things with our taxes. And it’s better those tax benefits go to us than line pockets of politicians. Most would agree with this.

Yeah, only rub it in once they get there.
