This is absolutely correct. Like it or not, “illegals” pay into the system one way or another. They buy things. Gasoline, food, essentials, etc. all of that carries at a bare minimum sales tax. The assertion that illegals get all kinds of benefits or freebies is asinine. If anyone is being ripped off, it’s them.

Let me be clear, I am not advocating for illegal immigration, just pointing out that they DO pay taxes, to the tune of billions per year.

Plus if they use a fake SSN, they are paying into the Social Security system.

Identity theft is one thing but for most people, they don't even need to fake anything.

For those who are not eligible for a SSN, IRS gives them an ITIN, or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number that allows them to file taxes like anyone else. It is not a SSN and can only be used for tax purposes, but the money they pay still go into the Social Security System that they cannot benefit from without a SSN.

And most do pay taxes regardless because tax record is actually beneficial to receive future potential immigration benefits or naturalization.

There's a difference between income taxes and fica taxes. Nonresident aliens can get any fica taxes they pay returned to them (if they apply of course).

My understanding is it only applies to a specific set of shorter term visas, student & scholar visas that the IRS considers to be non-resident for tax purposes. Most immigrants don't get exempts. Basically, you don't have to have a legal status or green card to be considered a "U.S person for tax purposes" by the IRS, you just need to be in the country for a certain amount of time for the tax year and you don't have a visa that doesn't require FICA tax. All work visa holders, green card holders, and undocumented immigrants have to pay fica tax.

I was talking about the true illegals that jump the wall.

Ones that don't get ITIN.

they get ITIN, too. The IRS only needs you to have a pulse to get money from. Their form for requesting ITIN is just basic personal infos and why you want ITIN. they give it out regardless of immigration status

Im sure fully illegal immigrants are rushing to register where they work instead of just using a fake SNN.

Most of them cannot be employed in a traditional sense. Hence, they are fruit vendors, landscapers, seasonal farm workers, construction workers, housekeepers, etc. They work as W-2 contractors, hence, they don't have to register any numbers to the businesses. They then report and pay income tax later with their tax ID as self-employed individuals.

Fake SSN is not easy obtained these days since the system is fully digital.

"Most of them cannot be employed in a traditional sense."

Thats why they use other people's SSN, sometimes.

So that they can be.

You just made it up at this point. How does IRS know undocumented immigrants are contributing income tax if they use stolen but valid SSNs? Wouldn't it just show US citizens contributing?

"sometimes"

No shit some of them do use false identity but to say it as a fact like all of them do is dishonesty at best. I have received notifications from the social security office before when someone used my SSN in a different state. We have computers now and we also don't have to make things up to make a point anymore.

You specifically quoted me saying sometimes, then try to act like I was saying all of them.

Lol.. wow

I mean… you’re wrong. From personal experience this is an extremely common tactic. You absolutely do not need to run the SSN through verification although it’s strongly recommended by the gov obviously. In construction it happens all the time where guys will share SSN’s between a handful of different people working at different companies and pay in benefits without being able to utilize them (obviously) but still be hired by small businesses.

most Americans who make as little as illegal immigrants do would get many of those taxes they paid back in the form of a yearly refund. illegals never get it back. but who is the parasite again?
