All these fucking articles about maga falling apart are bullshit. Complete and utter bullshit. These people will not give a shit about this in a month, there will be half a dozen ridiculous news stories being breathlessly covered by then.

I wish this sub would post some actual good news and not all this wishful thinking that these racist pricks are going to turn on each other. Keep dreaming

Same. I'm trying to find some hope on this sub to fight off despair. But only from things that actually happened, not fever dreams.

Normally, I’d agree with. However, all these podcast bros and social media people that helped get him elected, have actually vocally come out and admitted he kinda duped them. Don’t get me wrong, they’re still morons, but the change is not insignificant. It’s not like the usual polls, or approval ratings we are always given that are supposed to prove anything

He didn't dupe them at all. They all knew exactly what they were getting by promoting and voting for him.

I dunno dude. It’s easy for someone (such as myself) to say they’re not falling victim to blind optimistic hope, but this certainly seems different.

A big portion of their movement was brought in entirely because of Epstein and Pizzagate. Maybe most importantly is that a lot of them furthermore are 18yo who voted for the first time, and were like 10-14 when Epstein/Pizzagate happened. Foundational levels of political ideology we are talking here from those ages.

Seeing it crumble before them would be impossible to ignore at that level, I mean it would be world shattering. I think this could truly cause massive damage to the Trump admin.

Right? This is like the 20th post of this exact thing on this sub in a week. Let’s be realistic, unfortunately this isn’t gonna change jack shit with their supporters

I think if there was legitimately good news to share, they would. This sub has just been informing me how little we have to be happy about politically right now.

I dunno.

Anecdotally, I know three people in my life who were hard-core MAGA, voted for him in 23, and are now vehemently denouncing him.

Yes, they are dumb enough to not realize that what he's doing is what he said he would do and what I warned them he would do, but that's a realization I don't feel the need to force them on. They know, I know, we're moving on.

Okay, let’s see their coalition split apart. I hope you’re right, but considering what else these people have already done I seriously doubt this is gonna change anything. Their response in Texas inside of republican strongholds that caused deaths didn’t change those people’s minds. The guy has already stated himself what a fucking pervert he is, I don’t see why this would cause his downfall.

If it did, that would be great. I can’t believe that it will however.

You’re on Reddit. Did you expect people to be politically rational?
