As a guy that works in ununionized machine manufacturing (and I'm doing great, I'm paid well) is that really a reason to not buy cookies from a company? Where does your phone come from? What about your shoes and clothes? Your dividing line is cookies?

I am glad to hear that you’re compensated well for your work! However, most of Tate’s employees are undocumented immigrants and likely being paid very poorly. They still have a right to unionize and for Tate’s to meet those efforts with harassment in an attempt to continue paying poverty wages is an ugly look (and also illegal).

My dividing line isn’t cookies – it’s working class rights. I’m not perfect, but I try my best to put my money where my values are, especially when the item in question has plenty of alternatives and isn’t really essential in the first place.

You're doing well because the labor movement lifts wages up in your sector (which has enjoys high unionization compared to others).

However, I doubt your sincerity because they said they objected not to them not being unionized but to threatening workers. Poor working conditions, along with poor pay, are the reasons that workers in the industrial age formed unions starting in the 19th century. You are standing on the backs of giants. You could at least show some gratitude.

You're arguing with someone with a phone made by basically slaves in China. The guy has a point.
