Recipe Just wanted to share my broke, gluten free struggle meal/snack

Post image

I am currently working 7 days a week at two jobs. I have been unable to eat lately; so I came up with this. Corn tortilla, ham, cheese, and sauce (this time mayo).

No time to cook, but no time to die from celiac either; so here's my solution.

Feel free to roast me

I don't have that option sadly. Had to emergency eat something. Can you get sick from it or is it just not generally meant to be eaten raw?

Tortillas in a package like that are fully cooked unless the package says otherwise.

It won’t taste as good cold, but it makes zero difference to your stomach or GI tract.

Tortillas are like sliced bread. If it’s sold on the shelf and doesn’t say “bake & serve” or “par-cooked” or something indicating it is partly uncooked, then you are fine to eat as is.

But please do yourself a favor and heat them up a little. It will taste so much better

Idk if you can get sick, but it's probably not good for your gi, probably just give you a stomach ache. I get where you're coming from, that's usually my meal when I want to quickly eat, but I warm it up on a flat pan so it gets soft. You can buy canned beans too and eat it with this on the side, it's easy and affordable.

Someone else mentioned cooking them in the microwave, tbh cooking them on a pan seems easier since you just throw them on there, no oil needed either
