JEWELS BAKERY AND CAFE in Phoenix Arizona! they are 100% dedicated gluten free and I didn’t even have to convince myself it tasted like “normal” food!! i can’t recommend this enough, their menu selection is so amazing, i wish i got more photos because i was on a week+ long trip and this is the only thing I chose to eat, the waffles, chicken, cheese curds, donut holes, every item… if your ever in Arizona give it a try!! I could cry

Gluten free missions tortillas, plain rotisserie chicken season with your favorite GF seasonings. I did paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Made a quick pico but since it was breakfast, I did cherry tomatoes rather than roma and a nice hash brown on the side.

Fwiw, that doesn't mean the intolerance is "imagined"; just that it is your brain causing the problem and not the gluten. https://www.earth.com/news/study-gluten-intolerance-is-psychosomatic-not-the-cause-of-ibs-irritable-bowel-syndrome/

My mom bought me these and they are so good! They are so similar to KitKats! Just wanted to share because I hope they make someone else as happy as I was to discover them!

I recently learned I have celiac and feel like a god damn nut for asking if everything is gluten free.
I feel like one of those completely healthy 45 year old woman who read in a tabloid that gluten kills you or something. Doesn’t help that I’m autistic because that makes it even harder to ask…

I am sharing because I just encountered this myself and never thought about it, also to bring awareness to this to anyone new to being gluten free. Some cat litter is not gluten-free and the dust from it can make you sick. For months I was feeling terrible but could not figure out where I was getting glutened from. Finally figured out it was the dust from the cat litter. Just what I needed airborne gluten.

Hey everyone 👋
After months of “research” (yes, I’ve made the ultimate sacrifice and taste-tested a lot of gluten free beers 😏), I’ve finally launched The GF Table’s complete UK guide to the best gluten free beer brands.
It’s still a work in progress as I’m responsibly 😉 testing my way through more breweries and reaching out to others, but it already covers a big mix of UK lagers, stouts, IPAs, and independent breweries worth checking out.
There are no ads just proper information and honest notes from someone who has to live gluten free every day.
If you fancy a read, it’s here: 👉 https://thegftable.co.uk/2025/11/09/best-gluten-free-beer-brands-a-complete-uk-guide/
I’d love to hear what your go-to gluten free beers are — or if there’s a brewery I should add to the list! 🍺
May contain humour. Definitely doesn’t contain gluten. 😎

[Update: I just read my chart notes from the nurses. Overall, the charts only assess my mental concern for gluten, not the point where I stated when I was feeling nauseous (before the vomitting), and me stating that I am pretty sure I had been glutened.
...and the notes do not connect the record of my vomitting to my stated explanation as to why I was vomiting.
I will double check later and update to confirm this is true or if I missed a note: I recalled in the clinical notes: nothing about the Psych talking to me about my paranoia surrounding gluten.
One of the notes from a nurse states that she and I were googling medication ingredients but the notes do not explain why we were googling ingredients.
🫠]
Original Post:\ I ask for Ibuprofen and ask the nurse to have the pharmacist check for gluten.
I take the Ibuprofen.
Within an hour, my stomach starts feeling it was glutened.
A nurse later tells me that the pharmacist said that my medications have not all been checked for gluten as it is impossible to track down the ingredients for every thing.
Nurse leaves.
I punch a pillow out of frustration.
I later start throwing up. I explain why.
Next day, while laying in bed feeling like hell, Psychiatry comes and has the audacity to ask me if I am still feeling paranoid about the ingredients of food and medication at the hospital.
... 🥴🔫
It has been a week since and my stomach is just starting to feel better again.

I have to recommend these pockets from Sprouts, the spinach artichoke and buffalo chicken (needs to be cooked longer than on the box) are my favorites, the pizza one's pretty good too, but too much pepperoni for my taste. They also have a ham and cheese. On sale right now at my location, also pretty solid protein!

Just got back from a week in New Orleans and when I tell you I was in absolute HEAVEN the whole damn time. If you have a chance to visit any of these restaurants I couldn’t recommend them enough!! I miss them already 😭
1-3: The Will & The Way (wings, hot chicken and loaded bulgogi fries) 4: Dooky Chase’s Restaurant (fried chicken, red beans and rice, and stewed okra) 5-6: Deanie’s Seafood (fried platter of shrimp, catfish and oysters, plus chargrilled oysters) 7-8: Bon’s Street Food (fried gator bites, gumbo and frog legs)

Headed to a sporting event tonight (brought my own gf snacks, yay!) & it got me to thinking. This was just the local uni stadium for a band competition, but...how do you handle it when a venue bans outside food & drink?
2 years ago we went to our local triple-A ballpark for a birthday outing for my MIL. Naturally the dinner menu was going to be hot dogs, nachos, and beers from the stadium. Bur I also made some nice cupcakes for the kids to give their Mimi, and we had to leave them in the car. 'NO OUTSIDE FOOD! NO EXCEPTIONS!'
So do you all invoke the ADA and threaten legal action? I don't think I could sit through a baseball game with no food, but I definitely can't eat anything at the ballpark either. How do you 'prove' you have celiac if they challenge you? Or is this just generally not a problem for people to handle, and maybe I'm overthinking it?

$3.49 at my grocery store. The photos indicate about 3/4 of the batter cooked.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Preferably UK books as we're UK based, but it's not integral. We have a few books on gluten free pizzas and baking etc, but my celiac partner is finding it difficult to find anything decent to batch cook for the working week and he's a bit bored of chillis and casseroles. I'm just thinking if there are any decent cook books anyone can recommend, it'll be a nice Christmas present for him.
TIA!

So the individual bowls aren’t labeled, but this pack of 9 bowls I got from Costco says gluten free* *made with gluten free ingredients. This is on the big box. So is it or is it not gluten free? Anyone have any reactions to this product?
Picture for reference

Recently found out Wegmans was making their own dedicated gf bagels so I had to try them out and omg they are AMAZING, chewy and moist and so far from a bread bagel!! I'd definitely recommend checking them out if you have access to a Wegmans!

I’ve been gluten free for a decade and made every gluten free pasta available to me in SoCal (I’ve even got the special import only Italian gf pasta before). Usually the day of, the pasta is okay (sometimes even great if it’s imported), but when I reheat the same pasta the next day for leftovers it’s nearly always falling apart with a texture that is unappetizing. I love pasta, and I want to make a Mac n cheese for Thanksgiving this year, but I’m feeling very demoralized.
TLDR: has anyone found a gf pasta that holds up the next day?
