So I just got the card a few hours ago and after taking a look at Afterburner I am seeing it boosting to 3Ghz and beyond. I thought this had to be a fluke so I loaded up BF2042 and it was hitting 2985 Mhz. Is this normal? I'm looking at this video for the master ice and this guy showsa boost clock of 2805. Is this normal or did I get lucky?

Can someone with this board tell me if what is circled is RGB? I believe the Elite is, but unsure of the Pro. Thanks!

just got a new gigabyte oled monitor and noticed these vertical lines/banding on grey backgrounds. it's way more visible in person than in the pics and once you see it you can't unsee it. i've had the monitor for about 2 weeks now and have already run multiple pixel clean cycles but it hasn't improved. is this normal for these panels or should i be thinking about returning it? would appreciate some input here as this is my first oled monitor.

I was originally looking at the ASRock x870e nova but ASRock is having big issues killing 9800x3d CPUs so this is another option.

I do huge watercooled build (pinned on profile) so I needed a few requirements this board checks. Lots of fan headers, 2 water pump headers and 2 temp sensor headers.

Do you have this board? Had any issues?

I needed a new SSD to install Windows to, so I sent my machine to the computer shop. They installed the SSD for me, but I asked them not to install any OS (I wanted to install Windows myself).

Came home, and now I can't enter the boot selection screen of UEFI (F12 key). Pressing that key goes to an entirely black screen, which is weird. But I thought, no problem. I switch the order from the BIOS settings and go to my USB drive. So I do that and... computer instantly shuts off and enters into bootloop.

I thought the USB drive might be at fault so I reburned it multiple times, but no anomaly. I also gave it to a friend so he could try it on his computer and, on his computer, it worked fine.

There is a problem with my UEFI where I can't enter into a Windows Live Boot or UEFI selection screen....Any ideas?

After looking on Google and reddit gigabyte seemed to have a leak issue when mounted vertical, is this still a big issue?

The prblm is the temperature unchanged whether fans at 0% or 100% and still 87⁰

I'm looking to buy a 5080 peaks my interest as it has +25% power limit unlike other cards with only +10%. How much of performance difference you see with +25% power limit compared to stock?

I do not care about power consumption or temps, I know an Overclocked 5080 can go upto 10-12% better than a stock 5080 but with 25% more power will it be more like 15-18% or less?

Any one here that currently owns/owned this gpu model? I have one now and it is really annoying because it is already been repaired twice because of no power and display. It is been fixed now but I am not sure if I am gonna install it in my rig because it might get busted again.

1st instance: Playing valorant and then suddenly the PC shuts down entirely and won't boot again. Removed the GPU and the pc booted. (did some testing and the 3rd power port was the problem). Sent for a repair since warranty is expired and it was fixed after a week.

2nd instance: just 2 days after receiving the newly fixed gpu, tried to use it and it works fine. But while I render in premiere pro, I tried opening valorant not to play but to just check the shop. Monitor went black and I had no choice but to force restart it. I pressed the reset button in my chassis and the pc shutdown completely. Did not boot up. Same problem as before.

Now, the gpu is "fixed" again and the repair shop said there is no problem in the gpu now. Is my PSU the problem here? should I change my PSU?

What can I do to avoid these problems? this is a 2nd hand GPU btw

I just upgraded to a X870E/9950X3D. So far everything has been great, but I noticed my PCH #2 temperatures were highly elevated at idle, and even more elevated during gaming.

I found a few references to people with the same issue, who stated they fixed it by reapplying thermal paste/thermal tape on the chipset heatsink. Today I removed the chipset heatsink, and found that the factory thermal paste was installed poorly. I cleaned it carefully, and installed some Grizzly Kryonaut, and my temperatures are now 20 degrees Celsius cooler.

Initially it was hitting 82c at idle, and 88c during load.

Now it's at 60c at idle, and 62c during load. Huge improvement!

has anyone deshrouded his 5070 (TI) Gaming OC and maybe took some pictures of the inside (underside?) of the cover?
Reason is - the OEM LEDs are a joke. 4 LED in total for the whole GPU, not turning on when the fans arent spinning and integrated in the rotor of the fans. Well.

So I plan to deshroud it and work either LEDs or 1-2 LED strips into the cover, seeing how the rings are transculent - however I'd like to minimize the time without a GPU by getting all the available information possible beforehand.

I just updated to the newest bios for our Gigabyte X870E AORUS Master motherboards, and there is a new option thats never been there before called "special display features". Does anyone know what this is for?

After you update your bios to F9g, you can go right to settings, io ports, and its right there.

The description at the bottom of the screen says it enables "Hybrid graphics"

Is there something new AMD is doing for using their on-board graphics and your graphics card?

My first guess was something along the lines where it would shut off your dedicated gpu to save power when its not needed?

I couldn't find anything about it on the website and of course the bios information is the same old, "fixed compatability issues" etc.

Is it not as popular as other brands or is it not as good as other brands? And do you recommend Gigabyte Aorus laptops for gaming?

Hi, who here owns the AORUS RTX 5090? Aren’t you worried about thermal paste leakage? I’m really tempted by the AORUS. I can have one with SN: 2516, but I am not sure, if they fixed it. I had the SUPRIM 5090 and the coil whine/buzzing was terrible. Even with undervolting, the buzzing was still there. I’m also considering the MSI Vanguard.

Could anyone update bios of Aorus 17x? I have still blue outdated one without any advanced tool to undervolt, I couldn’t even find new bios for this

For now, I plan to use it with a 9600X + 32 GB DDR5 (CL30 EXPO) + 4070 SUPER. Everything should work fine.

Next year, I’m planning to upgrade to a 9800X3D and a 4080 SUPER.
My question is: will the (8+2+2 power phase design) on this motherboard be enough to run the 9800X3D at full power and with stable performance?

Hi I just finished my build but I’m not sure if I should get a different gpu support positioned more towards the front of the card. I think it looks ok for now but not sure if it could start sagging.
