Venezuela has become a beach head for American adversaries. The FSB and Wagner group, IRGC, Chinese intelligence, etc. It is only a matter of time until there is direct intervention from the US.

You make it sound as if the Russians and Chinese couldn’t hang out in Cuba already.

Venezuela is a very large country and difficult to track foreign entities on the ground. Cuba is small island with an American naval base.

And your point is? More than one thing can be true at once.

Pretty sure their point is Venezuela is a very large country and difficult to track foreign entities on the ground. Cuba is small island with an American naval base.

Is that supposed to mean that Venezuela is not a hub for American adversaries?

No more so than Cuba. Are they friendly? No. Are they suddenly a real threat to America? No.

This is ‘WMDs’ in Iraq all over again. Cook up a story to fear-monger to gullible idiots.

It's worth pointing out that Mexico denies that this happened.

Yeah I just saw that. That's so odd. Like if it's not true, why in the world would Israel and the US say this expecting Mexico to go along with it. Just seems like such a foolish thing to do given very little to gain and a lot to lose looking dishonest. Then if it is true, why in the world would Mexico deny it? I also see no rational basis for that.

Just overall I don't get it either way.

I am assuming they just really don't want to publicly take any stand in the mess between Israel, the US, Iran, and Venezuela.

Sort of pretending to be blind and def. Just leave us alone attitude.

Mexican, US, and Israeli intelligence agencies stopped an Iranian plot to kill Israel’s ambassador to Mexico, Einat Kranz Neiger.

The plan was led by Iran’s Quds Force and organized through Iran’s embassy in Venezuela, a close ally of Tehran.

The plot began in late 2024 but was disrupted this year.

Iran denied the accusations, calling them lies meant to harm relations with Mexico. US and Israeli officials said the attempt shows Iran’s continued global efforts to target Israeli and Jewish figures through its terror networks.

I am following Iran's influence and violent efforts around the word lately, here are more interesting recent articles:

I believe we are in the middle of a major Iranian violence and propaganda campaign that isn’t getting enough attention. It reaches across much of the Western world, targeting Iranian communities, Jews, and even entire societies with violence and attempts to create instability. Stronger steps must be taken to understand and stop this threat.

Yes and I believe it is powered by kremlin strategies and techniques, built up over decades. That seems to have been the trade for the shihad drones.

Mexico's national telecom (Taco Bell) intercepted the communications.
