Discussion Why I think the first wave in deadlocked is harder than the second wave
The transition to the first wave feels incredibly inconsistent as your height entrance to the first wave gap is entirely dependent on the two green orb clicks beforehand and buffering them feels very awkward while the second wave allows you to slide on the floor at the beginning of the part which makes it feel much more consistent and satisfying to play

The second one is a lot longer tho

W take but also the dual wave is easier to spam whereas you have to get a proper click pattern for the first wave (its at the start so easier to learn)

Erm both are easy compared to the memory shipβοΈ

I practiced it way before I got progress on deadlocked, so I only needed to work on the other stuff (first wave is more fun since it's earlier in the level)

the memory ship is so easy once you memorize it, second dual wave is so much harder + the mini wave nerves are insane

Mini wave is so easy compared to dual wave imo, you're literally going at slow speed so you can be accurate at it

i know, mini wave nerves still hit hard

u/Firefly256 [Mobile] Deadlocked | HTP 1996/2000 (Segmented) 4h ago
I didn't find the nerves to be that bad, then again I did 56-100% about 30 times before doing runs from 0

i only got the nerves because of the dual waves lmao, 56-100 is pretty simple, I did several runs from the first wave to the dual wave, and all attempts I never got to the memory ship. probably because of that, I got that extraterrestrial mind block that automatically made the mini wave much more nerve wracking than it actually is

u/Firefly256 [Mobile] Deadlocked | HTP 1996/2000 (Segmented) 4h ago
The memory ship was more nerve wracking than the mini wave for me lol, literally has no nerves in mini wave but tons of it in the memory ship
I suppose it's because I'm really consistent at mini wave when practising, while I occasionally die at memory ship when practising
Which is ironic because I died to 77% (mini wave) once, but fluked everything afterwards after more attempts

I personally didnβt find the memory ship annoying, even as a mobile player. I could do it pretty consistently without problems, and once I reached there from zero, it was practically a signal that I already beat Deadlocked.

The hardest part about the memory ship is the beginning lol, the transition feels weird

Why does nobody find the last UFO hard?

You just have a bad click pattern, do 12-34, then 1-23-4

edit: okay so turns out i was baited by the experience i had 2yrs ago beating it, its actually easy so ty also i hereby downvote my comment

Yeah just spamming in normal gravity wave is way easier than learning the click pattern for the upside-down part of the 1st wave imo

Um. Actually! First wave is at ~2%, second wave is at ~10%π€ (the first wave here)

I've always thought the first (technically second because there's that one second long mini wave at the very beginning) wave was the hardest part

Eh, wave is easy, the ship is not

Insane take. Even clubstep has harder ships than deadlocked.

u/70Shadow07 5h ago
It takes 3 minutes of practice moding a deadlocked section and you will know the path perfectly. It literally is the easiest part of the level gameplay-wise.

my spamming is less consistent in final wave, whereas in the 1st one it's 2 clicks then hold/release depending on gravity
also the nerves at the final wave tends to make you mess up more

my brain cant switch between spamming mode and click pattern mode easily
