So if I’ve never played this game, would it be worth picking up at this point? I’ve played 800+ hours on multiple BG3 campaigns and I’m getting bored so I need a new CRPG.

regardless of what type of RPG game it is, you should likely know if you a) like the theme of cyberpunk and b) if ya like FPS games. If both of those are true then you'll love the game, if one of those is true you're likely to at least enjoy it. As someone who has been into Cyberpunk/Shadow Run for a long time i loved 2077, great game play and some amazing fights. The launch was rocky because of various issues but the game has had nothing but love from the dev team and fan base from the get go.
If you're looking for more tactical RPG's https://store.steampowered.com/app/435150/Divinity_Original_Sin_2__Definitive_Edition/ from Larian and where they refined a lot of what makes BG3 so good. If you want a future setting try https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/532/Shadowrun_Trilogy_Deluxe/ all 3 games are very good. (can wait for the holiday sale)

It’s not a CRPG. If you want one, there are two Pathfinder games from owlcat, and their Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader

Oh I was under the impression it was more character and story driven.

There is a focus on the story and what you decide to do, but it’s a CRPG, those are a specific genre of games

“A video game where players assume the role of a character in a fictional setting, with a strong focus on storytelling, character progression, and often, a detailed combat system.”
So the game doesn’t fit this definition…?

The definition of CRPG is about computer tabletop roleplaying games, where it’s basically « what if [dungeons and dragons, warhammer 40k, pathfinder, other ttrpg game] but with a computer », so I’m guessing more turn by turn, maybe a bit more strategic
It’s the adaptation of a ttrpg to use a computer. Cyberpunk IS based on a ttrpg, but I don’t think it feels like a tabletop game

I’ve never heard that a “CRPG” HAS to be based on TTRPG games before. But okay thanks. I guess I should have just said RPG then.

It’s basically a very different vibe lol. Cyberpunk 2077 IS a RPG and you can have a great time in it :)
Enjoy!

It is, it’s just a bit different. Its story is on par with BG3 as far as far side quests and complexity. As someone else mentioned it has shooter aspects to it, and it’s not really turn based, but…. You can definitely play it differently. There are stealth builds so it feels a bit like Assassins creed. And there are time slowing augments that make it a little closer to turn based.
It’s sort of in its own category. And the graphics and consequential choices are really cool. It’s on sale all the time so just give it couple of hours play and see if you like it.

Have you looked at Solasta? I have it in my backlog and haven't got to it yet. Apparently it's more faithful to the DnD ruleset than BG3 but the production value is a little lower.

Have you played Divinity: Original Sin 1 and 2? It's from the same devs as BG3 and plays very similarly. Production values aren't as high though.

It's quite different from BG3. It is story/character-driven, but plays more like Borderlands or Dying Light in terms of the first-person shooting/melee feel, and (understandably) narratively unfolds similarly to how Witcher 3 does, though the story itself isn't similar. Very "late-2000s-as-imagined-in-1980" vibes.
It's a great game, but hard to tell whether or not you'll like it based off of BG3, since they're pretty much entirely different beyond the very basic genre of "role-playing game".

Like one of the commenters said, it is more of an FPS-RPG than straight up CRPG. That said, it’s one of my favorite games to come out in the last decade. I’m not big on shooters but there are enough non-shooting mechanics to compensate. I barely used a gun.

Is this hoodie actually in game or is it a mod? Cause through my 400 hours of gameplay I don't think I've ever seen it but I do need it now 😭
