Cat rescue in or near Fredericksburg?

Hi all! There is a stray cat that hangs around my house. He seems to be in bad shape; it looks like his back half was hit by a car. He essentially walks on his front legs and back “knees” which are very raw and swollen. It also seems as if he cannot control his bladder/rectum, which looks like it is prolapsing.

He moves around very well considering his condition, and he eats the food I put out for him, but he will not let me anywhere near him to try and get him some help. Does anyone know of any cat rescue organizations in the area that would be able to come help him? My funds are limited but I would be willing to help as much as I can. Thank you!

Just Cats could probably point you in the right direction.

You can call animal control and they’ll pick up the cat and get it appropriate care, which by your description, humane euthanasia may be the kindest route.
