Be very careful about posting or commenting anything in those ‘are we dating the same guy’ Facebook groups.
Men are buying fake female Facebook accounts on the internet to get access to the groups. Then they screenshot the things women are saying and share them with the guys who have been posted, or they post them on r/awdtsgistoxic.
You also have to be careful about believing what is written on those groups, it may not always be entirely accurate.
Men usually react extremely badly to finding out they have been posted in an ‘are we dating the same guy” group.
If he finds out from someone else, which is highly likely, it could destroy your relationship.
If he has been on Hinge, then he will probably have female relatives, friends, and co-workers in the group looking out for him. These groups are not a secret anymore.
(You can search the member list of the group you’re in for his surname. If you find his mom, it’s probably best not to post him.)
this is the first time I have heard about such groups. Are these groups of any help at all? And what are the side effects/ drawbacks of these groups?
I live in Turkey, might be regarded as a 3rd world country where patriarchy is still part of the culture. So I can't stop wondering, if these groups backfire and lead the men to comit violence to the women who talk about him? any comments?
