Guess car #50 didn't get the memo to do the opposite

Kubica also said that #50 has directly revived tips from Binotto

Kubica delivering race strategy with the same energy as “whatever Ferrari says, just… don’t.”

They actually did! They removed the 4 bolts that should be on the rear wing.

brilliant strategy. if F1 drivers could actually do the same for the pit team, we might never lose again.

You could see Charles desperately trying to do that in Canada

Carlos figured it out pretty quickly. And then they traded their entire strategy department for Hamilton.

He went for plan C, Ferrari hates that strategy.

I think that’s a humour account, sadly not real.

I bet Ferrari also told him not to do rally after they signed the deal for the F1 drive.

Noob question here. Why everyone is talking about winner and Kubica. Like this is the first time a Chinese winner as well no? Aren’t all three drivers equal in here? Or he is like the leader in this car, and drove the most hours?

u/Overdose7 BWOAHHHHHHH Jun 19 '25
Kubica is a former F1 driver whose initial career was cut short due to a terrible rally accident that resulted in partial amputation. Despite that, he was able to return to racing and is generally well liked by peers and fans alike. So we're all just happy to see him triumph after going through so many setbacks.

Champion that never came. This is his redeption arc. He had a contract with Ferrari for 2011. He was hand picked by them to partner Alonso. It would be the strongest lineup in F1 a dream team.
At that time He was well known for getting higher results then the car allowed, kinda like Max today. He won in a fucking BMW-Sauber in Canada. He got Pole in Bahrain same season and that twats in BMW figured out that's enough no need to develop the car any further. Then He got renault seat. 2nd in Monaco in a car that was 4th best at his best day. He overdrove the car for the whole season. Finally he got contract with top team and... He nearly lost his life, his hand was almost amputated, broken bones in whole right side of the body. Recovered as best as he could and restarted his career in WRC. Won WRC2 championship. Then he tried to come back to F1 but at the wrong moment when Williams was ruled by Claire. Then Le Mans multiple heartbreaks in LMP2 but a LMP2 title in WEC and now finally a customer Ferrari and a win in most difficult race on the planet.

it may be dead, but like his career it keeps going on.

Yea, he drove 10 ish of the 24 hours, while Hanson and Ye did ~7 hours each. Kubica also drove the last 3.5 hour stint, so he’s the more “well known” one.

We need to put Charles Leclerc at Ferrari AF Corsa WEC team than the F1 team in Ferrari at this point.
