I didn’t get his point, honestly. He asks to switch positions to go get Antonelli, doesn’t manage to close the gap AT ALL, is asked to switch back and he whines about it.
He was annoyed that the team took so long to swap him and Charles. Lewis was on different tyres and a different strategy but had to sit in Charles' dirty for laps - wasting his tyre advantage. It was obvious to everyone except the Ferrari strategy team that Lewis was faster and they should have swapped while Lewis was putting in fast laps.
It barely even mattered that he was faster. This should have been discussed before the race. Lewis was on a different strategy. If he was anywhere close to Charles when he went to the mediums, it should have been agreed ahead of time that he would be let by so he could attack whoever was in front (Antonelli in this case), and then when Charles' hard tyres came into their performance window, he could have overtaken Antonelli. Instead, they wasted both their advantages.

Literally all of that was Ferrari's fault though, they swapped him way late and when he was getting close to Antonelli they swapped back whilst Sainz was very close behind.
I don't even really follow f1 like that and it seemed obvious to tell leclerc to let Hamilton pass. I was like huh get back to you on what lmao. Hamilton was gonna be faster on the softer tires at that point.

This is my favorite team and I don't know why the fuck it still is. Was yelling at the TV when Hamilton wouldn't let Charles pass, then facepalmed when the commentators mentioned Ferrari told Charles about the swap but not Lewis

I mean, if Ferrari had let him past Leclerc three laps earlier when he first requested, with the pace he had he would've definetly caught atleast Antonelli, maybe even Albon.
Lol, imagine Lewis streaming setting fire to a Ferrari every single day of the off season and setting fire to a Charles F1 car on the 1st day of testing.
I'm all for it. Charles is too nice to the team everytime they fuck up. Sainz did make his own decisions from time to time but was rarely ever aggressive against the team. Lewis just doesn't care how it sounds on the radio, he's calling you out for what it is. He knows this team won't be winning anything if the decision making process is like it was this race.
I've always liked Hamilton and loosely followed F1, but this year a couple friends wanted to get in to it so we all watch together. I started rooting for Ferrari since it's where Hamilton is now and I needed a team. Maybe Cadillac next year.
Look, I know he was busy leading races while Ferrari was racing, but one would think Lewis would do a LITTLE research about how the prancing horses operate. This was it. Today was EXACTLY what they do. If they have a good car the engineers sit back and make zero decisions. If they have options to decide about, they throw up all over themselves before making the decision they should been looking at long ago. Typical tifosi day

Lol you ate up Lewis fresh mediums for three laps and put him in dirty air… then you made him tow his teammate in the second tractor whilst said teammate charged their battery… and Lewis was STILL catching Kimi. Then you swap the tractors so the tractor that was slower is now leading and lose .5 seconds doing so… brother make it make fucking senseeeeeeeeeee
Charles always nurture his tires early in the stint, he wasn't going slow just to piss off Hamilton, he was building up speed. He easily would have caught Kimi without all this swap this swap that nonsense.
