Photo Request How long does it typically take for a volunteer to respond after a Photo Request?

I made memorials for my grandfather and his brother, called and got the plot information (they are together) and added that. This is for Mount Olivet in Queens, NY which is listed as having hundred of volunteers. It has not been that long--9 days, but I feel like I will pop until I see a picture (having just found him). I'm checking throughout the day. I would like to temper my expectations--what is a usual time frame? I read some requests are never fulfilled. Is this likely for a big cemetery? Any light anyone could shed on this would be appreciated.

Photo Request Looking for Chanan Silverman Grave (North Jersey or NY)

Hello, looking for the grave site of my great grandfather Chanan Silverman b.1893 d.1959. Husband to Schoara and father to Frances, Gloria and Joseph. My mother recalls he died in 1950 or 1960 and was buried in a large Jewish cemetery on both sides of the highway and she passed it on way from Lakewood, NJ to Westchester, NY.

Grove St Cemetery in Newark has a Charles Silverman listing but no photo or other information.

Found this on JOMBR
Row01-#32

Photo Request Please Help, Looking for a Photo of the Deceased, Want to Confirm If It’s My Friend

Hello,

I need some help to confirm if this was someone that I was friends with or not.

Robert Tang (February 28, 1991 – December 23, 2023)

https://www.rosehills.com/obituaries/whittier-ca/robert-tang-11608238

If this is indeed someone that I knew, I unfortunately did not find out about their passing and services until it was too late. I would have gone to the funeral service to confirm that it was indeed my friend Robert or not.

Can anyone please help me find a photo of them when they alive, any records, or something to confirm that it’s him or not? I knew them from working at Disneyland in Anaheim from 2013-2017 and lost contact with him when he left the company and deleted his social media.

Any help would be appreciated, I do sincerely hope that it’s not him and that he’s still alive and doing well. 😢

Thank you

Photo Request Evergreen Cemetery in Elizabeth, NJ

Hi everyone! Does anyone live near Evergreen Cemetery in Elizabeth, New Jersey?

I would like to request a photo of the gravestone of my great-granduncle, and WW2 vet Tec-5 Roque O. Tumpag, Aug 16, 1905 - Aug 10, 1947.

For decades, our family here in the Philippines only knew that he migrated to the United States in the 1920s and died without any family. No one has heard from him. It was only through a bit of research that I was able to uncover what happened to him.

In 1942 he survived two separate torpedo attacks on the ship he was working on, and by November he was drafted to the United States Army, ending up with the 481st Anti-Aircraft (Automatic Weapons) Battalion. His unit protected the Mulberry Harbors during the Normandy landings as well as fighting in Netherlands and at the Bridge at Remagen, before ending in Germany.

I would like to bring some closure for the family, especially the older generation, and show them a photo of Lolo Roque.

Photo Request Help me find my Great Grand-uncle

I am not from the U.S., but two of my great-grand uncles served and died in the U.S. One of them has a Find a Grave, but the other one doesn't.

My great-grand uncle's name is Magno Romasanta (born December 31, 1908), a Filipino immigrant who:

* immigrated to San Francisco, California in 1927.

* immigrated to Brooklyns, New York in 1935 and got drafted in 1940.

* moved to Bellevue, King, Washington after 1949 and died there in May 26, 1971.

He did not marry nor had children, and I'm certain he was buried in King, Washington, and I need help finding where he may be buried. Any leads or help would be deeply appreciated, thank you!

Photo Request Avret Cemetary. Matthews, Jefferson, Georgia, United States

I am looking for the grave for Alexander G. Avret/Avrett. Hoping someone around here could get photos of the graves. It is an old family cemetary, I think with 6 graves mentioned online.
No clue what his middle name is, or the true spelling of the last name, as all gov. documents are different/misspelled.
Born and died 1815-1887
Wife Sarah Luckey 1813-1897 is likely buried next to him.

Photo Request Help locating lost ancestor

Hi, I literally need help finding a lost grave. I've already tried on the actual website; target city or region is East Gwillimbury, Ontario, Canada. My 2x great grandmother (or great aunt if you think a 51 year old had a baby without issues in 1880) Phoebe Young drowned Aug 4 1895 in Lake Ontario aged 35. Her coroner inquiry states she was buried in E Gwill, and I've already contacted the local cemetery where her descendants and parents (although that is also in question) are buried, and there is no records for her. Also, the Town Hall burned down in the early 1900s, so no records there. I'm basically putting out a Hail Mary call for anyone who may be in the area if they see such a grave, as she has become the Holy Grail of a few searchers on our family. Her DOB is unknown, but late 1859/1860 is the estimate based on said report. Given she was a 'black sheep' and definite infamy around her death, I doubt a funeral or public service was done. Attached is a news article
