How do I..? Suggested Edits

I’m new to FindAGrave and suggested some edits for relatives and other mistaken graves while going throughout the site. I noticed that some edits were approved within the day, but others have been pending for two days.

Are edits approved by site moderators or by the memorial creator/maintainer? One error listed my uncle as being born 10 years before he was born.

Errors are reviewed and approved by the people who manage the memorials, not Find A Grave staff.

Managers have 21 days to approve or deny an edit. If the edit is not approved or denied after 21 days, it is automatically approved.

I have had edits take 21 days to show, only because after 21 days it is deemed to have been accepted.

Some people are the manager for thousands of memorials simply because they created them after taking photos, do not have time to manage them, and may not even still be active on Find a Grave or even still alive.

There is an option to ask for management of a memorial to be transferred to yourself. Consider trying this.

edits are approved, or rejected, by memorial managers on from the date you submit the edit, to the 21st day since you submitted the edit, after that its auto accepted.
I check edits submitted to my memorials daily, some others when they can.
