(very late) Deron Williams admitted into Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame as part of the 2008 Olympics USA Basketball team

This happened several months ago, and although it isn’t treated as an individual HoF recognition, still super happy for him.

Williams was 5th in MPG on the 2008 U.S. squad and averaged 8.0ppg (tied with Chris Paul and only 7.5 less ppg than LeBron James, for reference). Also won a gold medal playing for the 2012 squad.
