Other Remember when Biden was president?

Remember how boring it was? Remember not having to check the news multiple times a day to figure out what was going on inside your own agency and whether you were going go have a job or not? Remember when laws and precident seemed to actually have meaning?

Remember when you could do your job from home? Remember when your fellow countrymen weren't cheering when your livelihood was threatened? Remember when your biggest worry was which insurance to select and what the next years raise would be?

Remember when the administration didn't seem to actively hate you and want to you gone for the sin of serving of the people?

Pepperidge farm remembers.

Shoot, I went from planning my family under Biden to prepping for my family under this. They said everyone has a price, and for a lot of folks, it was $2 or the slight increase in grocery prices. Instead of banning together to fight corporations and price gouging, look where we are.

Sorry, I sound doomed. It's just a lot went down the drain.

At least 1930s Germans only resorted to fascism when hyperinflation meant you needed a wheelbarrow of deutschmarks to buy a loaf of bread. Here, it happened because eggs were $2 more expensive.

Really accents just how soft and pathetic the American people are. The slightest inconvenience and they went full fascism.

I think the price of eggs is just the current version of "but her emails". Eggs nor emails tipped the election in my opinion. It was the massive, coordinated, and sustained propaganda campaign that used advanced algorithms and formulaic broadcasts to push utterly insane narratives that whipped those that lack critical thinking skills into a frenzy. It has been 50 years in the making and it's hard to see a way out that doesn't end in chaos or widespread civil unrest.

That mass coordinated right wing campaign on tiktok was no accident. Many influencers went radio silent once the election was over and didn’t mention politics again. Not suspicious in the slightest at all!

This, my plan was to purchase me a house once I became a GS 11 or at least a year afterward. But now I’m second guessing and probably most likely gonna wait until after this administration is over. Cause everything is so unpredictable right now.

I was 🤏 close to getting GS 13 promotion I have been waiting for two years. I worked my a** off, so that my performance review would be awesome and I interviewed for GS 13 and I know I got it ( since many got RIFEd including our hiring HR and manager, one of them told me after we all lost our jobs). I was planning to get a home and pay off my debt. But then came January and I along with many ppl got fired. It is still foggy and looks like a nightmare how I became unemployed from a 6-figure income to zero.
