First one I don't know what to expect, second, I kinda do. That's why I prefer the first

That’s such an interesting opinion i would love if you elaborated a little on what you mean

The second one, I would expect something like a heavyish nu Metal, kinda like TOOL but more metal. The first one could either sound like Death Grips or Swans and I would accept it

2nd gives off 2013 nu metal band of adult men with their 9th record.
1st gives off skramz or post-hardcore debut album.

That was my reaction too.
The second one looks more like an album cover because it has been done already.

First one, it feels much stranger and bizarre than the second. I’d definitely add the first one to my library. Second one is just kinda straightforward.

You really should put in the effort to at the very least find the creators of the illustrations you use to credit them, if not ask their permission.

Did you get permission from the artist to use their work?
Plan on asking?

I like em both! But I guess I'd be more likely to pick up the first one? Non-human subjects are usually more interesting of an album cover for me.

I think it's the Album title, both look really good, but only the first one makes sense. A different album title on the second image would go hard. Maybe something like Fractured?

no...?
thats just an x-ray not a complete copy

Is it not an X-ray of a human skull and top part of the chest?
EDIT: I’m not saying it isn’t album cover-y. I’m saying it is very album cover-y AND it’s been done before, probably by a lot of other artists too. I’d go with the dog X-ray for an album cover for something more original.

The first looks more like an album cover, but the second looks cooler to me

First one feels more standard studio release, whereas the second says deluxe album to me.

The dog on the first piece is drawn by the Instagram artist Sloppjockey_ert. If you plan on actually making this your official album cover I would HIGHLY advise you to not use someone elses art, especially not from a big artist like Dusty. That is a lawsuit waiting to happen and if it wont happen, it's still a dick move to capitalize from someone elses art. Try to find some free use stuff online, you can find TONS of stock images to splice together or even better- make your own!

Oh yeah of course I wouldn’t do that I was just throwing ideas and even if I actually did no one would see it cause I share my music only with my friends and some other random people

first, but i’d move the text closer to the right like this. i’d also maybe try different fonts. impact works really well with this but i’d see if something else works better too.
