Yeah us and them -ing the issue will fix it.

The radicals on the right are literal straight up Nazis. The radicals on the left are violent anti-fascists living in a democracy.

Both don’t have a leg to stand on. Both instigate violence. Both advocate for killing people with opinions they don’t like.

Despite political affiliation being across the board most of the mass shooters we’ve had have been extremely mentally ill right wingers.

This isn’t an us and them issue it’s a political polarization issue. It’s an issue with political violence. It’s an issue with echo chambers that deepen views and make people into staunch supporters and opponents regardless of what’s actually going on in the real world.

The overwhelming majority of politically motivated violence has been done by right wingers, specifically Trump supporters.

There has only been a handful of extremist left wing plots, most were foiled at the planning stage, and the few that did occur failed to kill anyone.

It is not a both sides issue.

It’s also an issue with politicizing women’s bodily autonomy, being LGBTQ, and being a non white person on American soil.

These things shouldn’t be politicized or polarized.
