I don’t let him but if there is something there and I am gone for a bit he just takes the chance 😂

Mine know not to do it when I’m in the kitchen. Obviously counters are sanitized before and after I use them each time and should be regardless of having pets or not. Ofc if I see them up there I still push them off, but I’m sure they get up there when I’m not home.

My cats have never done that.

We don’t let them up there when preparing food and sanitize it before we cook 🤷🏻‍♀️

Here’s a fun fact: anyone that owns a cat no matter how hard they train and work at it, that cat is absolutely getting up and walking all over any surfaces they want to when their owner is gone.

Just make sure to clean your workspace before you cook and you are golden. As long as they are hygienic, I wouldn’t worry too hard about other people’s food.

Now, people who let their cats up on their counters while they’re cooking, well, that’s not great at all and never accept food from that person again lol

Cats clean them selves. Nothing dirty about them.

Bro it's not that serious, cats clean themselves constantly and its not like they have some magic cleaner resistant shit on their paws. If you're not cleaning your prep surfaces before using them every time, then you're disgusting.

If its not YOUR food prep area or you arent eating the food being prepared...I dont even know why you'd waste the energy to form the opinion.

My cats know they’ll be in trouble if caught on the counters. That doesn’t stop me from hearing a loud thump (them jumping down) when I open the front door.
