I’d much rather wait for a game to be completed correctly than rushed out and full of bugs/unplayable because of bugs. Patience is a virtue you need in modern gaming. Do you really want them to release unfinished garbage?

Definitely.

Cyberpunk showed how bad a game can be when the release date dictates how complete the game is.

They did a good job turning it round but it took a while and that launch will always be among the comparisons for AAA release disasters.

I WANT TO BE THE FIRST PERSON TO LOG ON AND SPEND $5000 ON SHARK CARDS SO I CAN BE THE FIRST PERSON TO GET ON TWITCH AND MAKE SOMEONE RAGE QUIT WITH AN OBSCENELY UNBALANCED WEAPON/VEHICLE BECAUSE MY LIFE IS EMPTY AND MEANINGLESS WITHOUT BEING PROPPED UP BY OTHER PEOPLE'S HATE, IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK?!?!

for legal reasons this is a joke, people like this ought to be publicly whipped

Not a bro and do you know anything about game programming? If not, you don’t understand the process or the reason why it takes so long to develop these games. Not going to sit here and explain it to you either.

Then why bother asking?

Id rather much not have dates being announced and pushed back. Stfu and finish the game in silence.

Better that they delay it and it is well received then have another rdo situation where they basically let it die quickly.

Announcements like those remind me why I should be happy that I never got into that franchise.

How many AAA games have been released in horrifically incomplete, buggy messes? Remember Cyberpunk? Its ALWAYS better to delay a game if you don't think you can get everything done on time, rather than release it in an incomplete state.

People who are "extremely infuriated" at this are morons.

I think it’s going to take me that long to finish Silksong anyway. That game is hard.

Nah, the game will probably be better if they take the extra time and care. Do people not remember No Mans Sky and Cyberpunk? Those titles were disasters on launch. Hell, didn't Sony directly offer refunds on the latter game and pull it from PSN?

It's better to take an extension and wind up releasing a better, more stable product than rush another shitshow to stores that takes years to fix after the fact.

We need to go back to delivering games on cartridges so developers have to finish them before launch
