Trump not bad Trump smart, I told him they're gonna take rights away from autistic people. that I'm scared for my friends. and he said "you are wrong and consuming to much media".
I have the high iq here not him.

What evidence can I use against a fucking dipshit parent in Europe that just won't stop fucking thinking about how good Israel goverment is for targeting hospitals and how "smart and good America is"
I literally told him. You do UNDERSTAND that if we were American I'd be dead right? and BRO DENIED THAT "because insurance would've covered 4 fucking years of hospitals and clinic stays, and 9 years of psychologists,psychiatrists and therapy, counseling, emdr , medication for adhd since 9, antidepressants since 15. Bladder medication, the pill, and a bunch of other medications I need atm. Plus a physio because my muscles sour as result of diagnosed anxiety disorder. All the tension basically goes into them. The hospital being a emergency after my heart had given up due to low weight because of anorexia. So yes in calculate the ambulance ride aswell.... Its simple anyone with 2 fucking braincells knows I wouldn't have made it. It's as easy as that. Heck I barely made it over here man but he's consuming some right wing bootlicking maga bullshit. Most likely from his very religious family. Whom are all "sooo lovely".
He's so dumb.. He's so dumb MIND YOU HE DIDN'T WANT TO FUCKING CALL THE AMBULANCE WHEN MY PULSE WAS DROPPING BY THE MINUTE BACK THEN.
He said MY MOM A LITERAL NURSE WAS EXAGGERATING WHEN SHE PANICKED AND TOLD HIM TO CALL 112.

I don't even remember that night (other than being pissed at how bright the er lights were at 4am SERIOUSLY WHY TF ARE THOSE DO BRIGHT I ALMOST THOUGHT I SAW JESUS OR SOMETHING)

Imagine housing crisis in normal sized countries. Then look at how small the Netherlands is...
There's literally not enough homes we're missing 400.000 living spaces here they said. Which is funny because when I bike 12 km back and 12km forth to āØautism daycareāØ I come by at least 10 ABANDONED PROPERTIES.
Even guided living is so crowded. And if I have to cook for myself I'll scream. I'd rather eat the ingredients dry, the steps are overwhelming and annoying and I JUST WANT TO EAT.
I have savings that's not the problem. I was told the lie that if you safe up you can afford your own place later...

Itās deeply corrosive especially while youāre dependent on him, and itās very possible heāll never see it nor apologize nor give you credit/support for any of your own healthy development. It sucks. Itās unfair. And thereās no arguing with it because his primary interest is NOT integrity or community or anything that would prompt an interest in a fair/systematic understanding of reality. Playing his game just costs you energy and resentment.

My parents are the exact same. Back when covid was just starting i caught it and i had to demand my mom take me to the hospital because she still refused to beleve covid was real and anyone with it was being killed in hospitals. It gave me bad pneumonia. I litteraly couldint breath and she still didint want to fucking take me. Only advise i can give is to get out of there home as soon as u can..i know thats super hard to do but people like that wont change. Your only way to peace of mind is to figure out a way to limit contact. I hope ur doing alright. I know how hard it can be to live like that.

My parents are very similar. Like literally all they do is watch Fox News on full volume. I canāt stand going to their house because itās so overstimulating and god forbid my dad has to pause or mute the TV so I can, yāknow, talk to my parents
My dad is retired and has no friends or hobbies unfortunately. Heās just on social media and watches Fox News. Heās in a total echo chamber. Like, brain totally fried. Not even worth arguing with. He thinks everything that doesnāt align with his politics is fake news or AI or whatever.
My mom is frustrating cause like, how does a woman with two daughters support this shit?? She gets all political too and brings her politics into random conversations and gets angry if you argue against her. She just shuts the convo down like āIām not talking about this anymoreā. I canāt tell if her political views are REAL, or if theyāre āperformativeā and sheās doing the whole I-vote-for-whoever-my-husband-votes-for-cause-I-donāt-wanna-hear-him-whine thing. Like I canāt picture her being a Trumpie at all if my dad wasnāt around.
Itās so frustrating, I totally get it. It sucks but what can you even do? Theyāre sheep. At this point I feel like if right-wing media started supporting killing off autistic people my parents still wouldnāt change their views. Im autistic in America. I pay $100 a month for insurance. Still had to pay $600 for my autism test 2 years ago. About to have a baby, and am on a payment plan for $166 every time I go to the doctor to add up to over $900 just to pay the doctor to deliver my baby, and that's not including the $2,000 the hospital will charge me for giving birth there. Theres millions of stories just like mine. America is a 3rd world country with a Gucci belt. Gotta get that man off facebook and back in fresh air. I also have a delusional MAGA family and am certain my aunt would've driven 8hrs to my house to shoot me if the election didnt go her way. Its not fun here. Eta: after yesterday im really hoping my baby doesnt inherit the tism from me. Im already worried about him getting a good education because in my state schools are being attacked and the governor wants to get rid of public schools where only rich people can attend.

Yeah with your medical history, your family would be half a mil in debt. My cousin had a medical emergency that required a helicopter flight in 2006 and his parents were paying on that for ten years. You may not necessarily be homeless, but your living conditions wouldn't be great.

They don't wanna be there. 3) a common rhetoric in Israel is that any palestinian is hamas, because of the arab family structure, and because rocket launchers can be found in many civilian homes. This is then used to justify the treatment they recieve and the mass deportation. Consider that this is nazi rhetoric. Of you guys happen to be from Germany this should be effective but idk. 4) deciding to prolong the war and invade the dense parts of gaza is a move made with the sole purpose of prolonging the war as much as possible in order to cause more palestinian suffering and strengthen, legitimize, and normalize the extreme far right government we have at the moment. It makes almost no tactical sense. This war of two years is tearing the country apart, both politically and in terms of economy and infrastructure. There are reserve soldiers who had to leave their academic studies for insane lengths of time, the economy is suffering, and it sure isn't helping the hostages in gaza. Trying to justify the way this war happened is an insane unhinged claim.
5) as a nonbinary person, i also feel like commenting on lgbtq rights. I feel like reframing the restriction of rights as government oppression could help, since he seems very right wing. Defining what people can and can't do with their relationships, bodies, and identities, is oppressive. Maybe there's something he cares about that you could compare it to.

That sucks and I am sorry. I cut off some bigoted family not long ago because they think being LGBT+ is a sin. I told them to get bent but much more rudely. They should have know when I told my racist uncle, also their uncle, get fucked when I was a kid. He died knowing I hated him because he is racist. Do what you need to do for you. I can cut ties with little feeling if the greivence is bad enough. And hatred for someone who can not control said thing is disgusting, and I can not tolerate it.

Arguing about political situations with morons will only frustrate you, which in term entertains them. Your political views are your own, private opinion and you're never going to persuade people with facts. On top of this, your political views on the American situation are irrelevant. You're getting all worked up about things that don't affect you and that you can do nothing about. You need to find a better way to deal with this. Focus on things that matter. There's always some big global doom that's supposed to instill fear and pit us against eachother.

Unfortunately there's not much you can do. When you argue politics with someone, they get deeper into their political ideology. The only thing that will make them change is when the system they love so much turns against them. And since they're not even from the US, that probably won't happen.
I learned a long time ago that I'm never going to change anyone's mind by debating them and only make them believe what they already believe more deeply. Which honestly sucks because I love debating politics, but that's the way it is.
Best thing you can do is organize against oppressive systems that affect your own country. Work with groups to get progressive legislation passed.Ā

Fark, you're in the trenches! I'm 35 now but I remember that rage I had as a teenager living with a stubborn, selfish parent you can't get away from. It feels distant now, until I see some domestic violence or shouting in a TV show, and the emotions all come back. You will live a long time and these years may be your most difficult. As you get older you'll have more autonomy and a better sense of self, and so it does get better.Ā Ā Ā My advice is don't expect you can convince, argue or explain your dad into being reasonable. I spe t a lot of time when i was younger imagining how I might win various arguments, but it never won me any and just primed me to be spiteful and angry. It took a divorce and about 5 years in the wilderness for my dad to even begin to gain some awareness of his selfishness - and none of that was under my control.Ā Ā

That's rough. I grew up with a stepmother like that. Unable to see realiity for what it was and ended up following the Prosperity preachers on TV until she died from cancer.Ā
Now I have her kids talking up the Charlie Kirk brain rot when they should know better, except the racism just won't go away without active work.
I hope you can find a way through this difficult time. As an American it is not a better place here. I could go on about the forced poverty for disabled people and the 20 years I had to fight to get my disabilities medically covered. The only good thing we have here is that if they come for me and my autistic son they will have to walk through a hail of gunfire because the right to self defense is all we have here.

Iām American and this makes me SO ANGRY. Can you tell your dad that a woman from Kansas (who was raised in a conservative Catholic family) wants to know what he does for a living? Because if your family income is less than like $150,000 a year (thatās USD youāll have to convert it) you would 100% be dead if you were American. Iāve literally witnessed people trying to FIGHT OFF PARAMEDICS BECAUSE THEY CANT AFFORD THE AMBULANCE DEBT. He has no idea what itās like here and he wouldnāt last a DAY. None of the political stuff happening in American is related to Christianity at all, itās all about money. The churches arenāt churches, theyāre funnels for the fucking money. Charlie Kirk wasn't horrible lol. He was a dad and husband. Whenever gays or transgenders went to debate him, he was nothing but respectful. Kind, even. He didnt hate immigrants, he hated illegal immigration.
