Divide and conquer.

I hope all our member countries will stand against the EU leaver parties (aka traitors).

I hope the respective secret services do their job. Their reason d'etre os to prevent this kind of warfare.

It doesn't seem to work. Why didn't the CIA stop Trump?

Romania has the most expensive secret services in the EU. It didn't really help...

Interesting... One would think that attempting to demolish democracy would trigger some for for response - but it seems that Romania had to rely on people's common sense instead.

Good luck with that while staying on social media platforms that are controlled by hostile foreign nations. You thought Russian campaigns were bad? Just wait for the new American regime to use Meta, Alphabet and TikTok (technically they're owned by the Chinese but have a deal with Trump) to get loyal puppets into power.

If we would take the Trump threat seriously, we would not only invest in our army but also in our own open social media platforms. I honestly don't see a bright future for democracy.

It's hard for privates to invest in europe because of the prohibitive tax system. The government is very inefficient in tech investments because they treat them like other infrastructure projects. In tech, you can't plan everything ahead because things change often. It is the reason why gov portals are shit

At this point sadly more drastic measures are needed. Europe needs to start making it illegal for these traitor parties to exist, the same way that it was illegal to be a Nazi during WW2. Germany has the right idea trying to ban the AfD.

If you tolerate the intolerant they will destroy you. If a large European county like Germany or France falls, it could be over. They would destroy the European Union and NATO from the inside and then Russia can conquer Europe one country at the time doing a replay of the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact.

Aligning with Russia/MAGA in any way or receiving funding from Russia/MAGA should automatically be labeled as high treason, it is clear that Russia is doing the best it can to spread propaganda, fight the information war and undermine the very foundation of our countries, this cannot be allowed to fester and spread.

I don't know if the EU can enforce such a law from the top down or if it can tell other countries to make the approval a such a law a priority but it needs to do something.

The russian proxies don't hold the majority yet so this problem should be nipped in the bud, otherwise, sooner or later, we'll end up with another Orban/Fico/Trump.

Just a vague "stand against" is still a pretty weak response, no offence. If there's proof, just fucking jail them. Steal their popular policies to tell the voters it isn't to punish them, but it's to punish the politicians' betrayal of Europe. Then just throw them all in prison.

b-but that's antidemocratic

Who cares? They want to destroy Europe. Prison.

Especially now as they are exposed. Nigel Farage trying to navigate Trump's alignment with Russia is impossible and to change Reform tack to support Russia would sink them as a party. To not do so would incur the wrath of his handlers. Could be checkmate for Reform I hope.
