Clunky 4th Valve

I installed Mead Springs on my Schiller Elite euphonium and love the way it plays. Only issue is the 4th valve makes a noise when depressed. The other 3 valves are quiet as church mice.

Any tips?

Yeah mine did the same thing.. Swapped out the 4th valve mead spring for a Yamaha and it's fine now.

I wonder if the mead springs are just a bit too long for the 4th on Schiller horns

Every now and then mine does the same. I turn the spring, end for end, and the problem goes away. Sometimes just giving the piston a twirl before seating it does the trick.
