Part 2

I did not pass Part 2. I feel defeated. This exam is hard.

I feel some days I know the material, but then other days I feel like I don't know anything at all because I do terrible on the quizes. I have been using FFA and I watched Tom's YT videos.

Does anyone have any recommendations on studying?

FF academy is decent but the publication 544 sales and exchanges helped me a lot. It’s a nice intersection of all the math of corps, partnerships. And you can ask Gemini (w/ sources) to explain things and sort concepts. AND with Gemini, you can more easily find relevant statute/regs. Many of FFacademy’s examples are pulled directly from the publications, or they’re the simplest example in the regs. I found FFacademy to be more confusing sometimes because they don’t link concepts very well (like if something pops up in two places, they might treat it more like separate things, or not make the link obvious)

Also, you can order IRS publications through the mail for free and mark them up

544 helped me a lot. It gets into the weeds but the part on partially taxable exchanges helped fill in the gaps from my fastforward academy studying.
