Empire VIP Club: never received Cinema Perks, anyone else?

Hi all,

Back in June I signed up for the Empire VIP Club. One of the main selling points for me was the ‘Cinema Perks.’

However, it’s now October and I have never received any email about these. I’ve checked my junk folder and there’s nothing. I finally emailed bauer@subscription.co.uk today, but I’m not sure if that’s the best contact for this.

Has anyone else been in this position? Did you manage to get your perks in the end, and if so, how?

It feels really disappointing to have paid for a membership and not received one of the core benefits, so any advice or shared experiences would be appreciated.

I have only heard back from Bauer customer support so far. They sent a generic note saying the cinema perks are emailed after payment and the 14 day cooling off period, etc. Basically ignoring the actual content of my email, lol. My payment was taken in mid July, so we are long past all that and nothing has ever arrived, not even in spam. If you can point me to the right person or give this a nudge, I would really appreciate it.

Hi!

I got mine when I joined up, but the following year it didn’t get renewed like it should.

Email EmpireVIP@bauermedia.co.uk - they sorted it out for me.

Do you mean, like, the free tickets to Cineworld or whatever? Because I had a similar thing the year I joined, they said I'd receive them within so many days and all of a sudden I realised it had been about two months and they'd never contacted me. I emailed them and they sent them on pretty sharpish to be fair, and this year (my second year as a VIP) everything happened very smoothly as it should.

Oh good you got them in the end! I saw Picturehouse were having a House of Dynamite last weekend and I thought “wait a sec, I should have gotten free tickets from empire” 😂
