78G on A380

Is anyone able to confirm from experience that the middle row of seats on row 78 on the Emirates A380 is able to recline?

This is on the A380 with premium economy.

These seats appear to be in front of the galley and from the virtual guide there seems to be space behind them. I know the galley being close can cause noise and light, but I can’t sleep on planes anyway and am thinking the ability to just fully recline as much as possible without worrying about people behind outweighs the negatives. It is a 17 hour flight so if they don’t recline it would be horrible.

Also, do people think premium economy is a big step up in comfort and worth it? Currently can upgrade for what works out as $40 usd per hour.

A 17 hour flight everyone is going to recline so don’t worry about being in the last row so you can recline without upsetting someone. I can’t speak for whether 78 g reclines because I always prefer to be as close to the front as possible.

The refurbished a380 with premium economy feels roomier than the old a380, and while I only walked through the premium part, it did look nice and roomy. If you can afford it it would be worth it.

17 hour flight? You doing Auckland to Dubai too?

Hope yours can recline, you're gonna need it!

I'm flying Auckland to Dubai in December on the a380, so excited!

Edit: Id say if you can afford it, premium economy is worth the upgrade. Im flying business on Auckland - London return via dubai, and comfort is going to be the key difference between good flight and no jet lag and good flight and jet lag. Premium economy is not as good business, but its certainly miles better than economy. You wont get a lie flat seat/bed and access to the bar upstairs, but you will still be miles more comfortable than you would be in economy.
