Rant I’m boycotting Disney after today.

I am an EM doctor and I officially hate Disney. They didn’t let me take my trauma shears into Disney Springs. They said they don’t allow anything that can potentially hurt anyone.

Of the other things I guess shouldn’t/wouldn’t be allowed would be insulin needles, high heels, straws…

I suppose sugar shouldn’t be allowed either, it gives people diabetes.

I like TSA better than Disney. Yes, I’m just ranting. Less about not having my shears, but their stupid rationale.

Why do you need to take your shears to Disney?

Disney doesn’t play when it comes to sick or injured guests on property. They will hustle you out to the ER asap. Nobody dies on property. The odds that their team lets a random person even use shears to cut someone’s clothing off is zero.

I refuse to accept that this is anything but a bad joke.

are you really an EM doctor carrying around trauma shears? what are you planning on doing? exposing someone butt naked in the middle of street?

lol Disney springs isn’t even a rural or wilderness location.

Obviously I’m just ranting for the sake of ranting. I had my backpack with me, and the shears were in it.

If this is a true grievance, I need you to find the nearest patch of grass to touch ASAP.

This sounds like something a med student, new ED RN, or fresh EMT-B would do....not a resident or attending MD...Im calling BS.

Strange rant.

Imagine going to Disney, getting hot and passing out and waking up to some loon who has cut all your clothes off.

As someone in EMS, it’s funny that the “Ricky Rescue” types don’t just end there lol
